Midtown Atlanta offers many diverse eating options - there's something for everyone!
The west side of Midtown across Interstate 75/85 has many popular restaurants. This warehouse and textile district can be accessed by exiting off
I-75 on Howell Mill Road.
Casual:
- Osteria del Figo has delicious pasta, ravioli and more, where you choose the sauce and pasta. The daily specials are always a good bet, too.
- Taqueria del Sol is one of the best bargains in town with $1.95 tacos. There's also a taco of the day in addition to the regular offerings, enchiladas and great margaritas. Their guacomole is fantastic too!
- Nuevo Laredo Cantina, off Chattahoochee Ave., serves the best mexican food in the city ... the place is not fancy, but it's authentic. Expect a busy dinner crowd, but there is usually only a short wait for lunch.
- Joe's on Juniper and its neighbor, Einstein's, offer great patios for people-watching. Both are on Juniper Street, not far from Piedmont Park.
- Chow Baby is a make-your-own-stirfry restaurant with a contemporary atmosphere, loud music, long lines, and very reasonable prices.
Upscale:
- Bacchanalia is one of the top restaurants in Atlanta. There's a four course prix fixe meal served here, and Quinones at Bacchanalia serves an 8 to 10 course menu focusing on fresh southern ingredients. Star Provisions is located at the entrance of Bacchanalia and sells entrees and sandwiches available for take-out, and has a bakery, wine shop and more.
- JCT Kitchen has a beautiful outdoor (covered) bar area, and serves delicious Southern-inspired food in a clean, modern setting.
- The restaurants in Atlantic Station tend to be chains (California Pizza Kitchen) or trendy-expensive. Ashton Kutcher has a few restaurants here (Dolce and Geisha House), as well as a bowling alley (Ten Pin Alley). Lobby at Twelve, also in Atlantic Station, is a much quieter spot for a good meal or beverage.
