Try Pho Hung (in Chinatown, on Spadina) or any of the Xe Lua chain (Chinatown, Chinatown East at Gerrard and Broadview). Mimi's on Gerrard and Broadview is also very good and most dishes are less than $10.

Kubo Radio at Queen St. East and Logan has a very tasty and generous three-course $20 prix fixe menu.
Latin
Tacos El Asador at Bloor and Christie has Mexican and Salvadorean tacos, burritos, tamales...
BBQ
Black Camel (2 locations: Adelaide and John; Yonge and Rosedale): Pulled pork sandwiches, BBQ chicken sandwiches
Gyros
Messina on the Danforth makes gyros (pork or chicken). So fresh and tasty with all sorts of fixings, including a few french fries. And they are open until 3 a.m. for late night cravings.
Thai
Salad King on Gould Street can't easily be beat for cheap and tasty eats that fill you up right. Be sure to try their pad thai, green curry, spring rolls, and cocunut ice cream

M&B Yummy House on Queen St. West 2 blocks west of Dufferin.Tasty and complex flavours of Ethiopia and reasonable prices. Try the vegetarian platter for a taste of the Wats and Tebs (tomato onion stew and garlicky vegetables) all served with the very good for you Injera (giant pancake bread).
