Almost all residents and workers have been evacuated from the popular scenic region of Big Sur. A 30-mile stretch of coastal Highway 1 has been closed. The blaze has already burned more than 64,000 acres of forest. Another major fire in the Ventana Wilderness and the Los Padres National Forest has also forced evacuations.

This was a great hotel for us. We needed somewhere that had separate rooms, a bathroom, a fridge, microwave and a pool. The only complaint we had was the floor was quite dirty. What do you expect...more
