Miramar is still the best budget stay in Waikiki. We stayed there 4 years ago so I was worried it might not be the same...it was better. They are in the process of installing WIFI (much needed). Other than that, they have everything you need and if they don't, it's a short walk to the ABC store(s). We skipped breakfast a couple of mornings to eat at Smorgy's across the street (very good for the money). Breakfast at the hotel is borderline okay but not great. Good for quick coffee and juice if nothing else, but they have hot food too. Close to the beach and you can use the beach towels by the pool, by signing them out. Kind of a noisy at night so if you are a light sleeper, I suggest ear plugs. The walls are very thin. Pool bar was enjoyable as we met a lot of nice people there and the drinks and service were great. Not a 3 star but we would stay here again if the price doesn't go up. I look for them to raise it as soon as they have all the upgrades complete. Waikiki is becoming a minature Vegas and we were not impressed with the town but still love the Miramar and it's staff. They should open a branch on the North Shore...we would stay there every time.
