“Clean and Comfortable. Great for Simple Business Trip”

Fairfield Inn Philadelphia Airport

4 of 5 stars
Avondale, AZ
Jun 16, 2008

Fast pick up from the airport at even a busy time of day and travel season. The offer of a cold bottle of water on the shuttle bus was my first tip that this would be a good stay. Excellent, friendly and conversant staff. Clean, simple room. Well-stocked breakfast and attentive staff at the breakfast. Hotel was much more quiet than I thought it would be. An excellent stay and I will be back during my next several Philly stays.

“Clean,Comfortable,Convenient and a Great Price”

Fairfield Inn Philadelphia Airport

Apr 21, 2008

My husband and I needed a hotel for a one night stay to be close to the Philadelphia airport for an early flight the next day.

I checked several hotels in the area and the prices were close to 200 and up a night which we found to be more than we wanted to spend for the few hours we would be there. We arrived at 11 pm and were out the door at 7 am the next morning.

This hotel with taxes was 126 a night. To be honest the price had me concerned because there was such a difference compared to hotels that were literally right next door.

When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly hotel desk clerk.
I noticed right away that the lobby and adjoining breakfast area appeared to be very clean. So far so good.
The room itself was also clean and the bed was very comfortable.
It had all the basics and was just perfect for a pre-flight hotel stay.
There was even an indoor pool that looked very clean as well although we did not have the opportunity to use it.

There is no restaurant but there is a Ruby Tuesdays right across the street from the hotel, easy walking distance.

A nice variety of breakfast foods, coffee and juices were available for the morning.

Overall .. if you are looking for a safe, clean hotel that is close to the airport at nearly half the price of the competition this is the place to stay.

They do offer shuttle service every half hour to the airport but since we drove down we did not use it.

Extended parking is not available but there are many off airport sites within 1-2 miles to park your car and get shuttled over to the airport with an average cost of 7 dollars a day. Even with the added cost of parking this hotel was a better value than the others that offer park and fly packages.

“As good as a budget hotel gets”

Fairfield Inn Philadelphia Airport

4 of 5 stars
New Jersey

The hotel room looked exactly like the photos one reviewer posted here. It was both clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the location was fine. I was in town for an event at the Wachovia Center which is much closer to the hotel than any description you read will admit to you. It was about 4 turns and then a straight ride to the arena around 10 minutes away.
I would not recommend this hotel if you want the place you're staying at to be part of your entertainment, however if you want a safe convenient place to sleep after your day out this is great. The Ruby Tuesday across the parking lot wasn't good to me at all but since I was out all day it didn't matter.

Become a big of a regular here. Its the 3rd time I've stayed in the last few months.

Lets face it - this a budget hotel and I don't expect anything other than a clean comfortable room and high speed internet access. It provides this and more.

The hotel looks and feels clean and well maintained. I find the staff friendly and helpful. The courtesy bus to & from the airport is prompt and efficient. The rooms are clean, comfortable and everything works. The free internet access (wifi) works perfectly.

The free breakfast is limited to cereals, bagels, juice and coffee but is perfectly adequate.

The Ruby Tuesdays just across the road provides a bar and menu for evening meals.

Sure its a bit isolated (your choices without a car are Ruby Tuesdays or a restaurant in the nearby Courtyard apparently - haven't tried that) and I wouldn't want to spend days there but for an overnight at the start or end of trip it is fine. I'll be happily staying there again.

“Reasonable stay for business travelers”

Fairfield Inn Philadelphia Airport

3 of 5 stars
Virginia Beach, Virginia

1/1 found this review helpful

On two recent stays, I found the rooms at the Fairfield Inn near the Philadelphia Airport to be clean, if slightly in need of updating. The complimentary airport shuttle was a nice amenity, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. While the regional train stops about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, the sidewalk is discontinuous. The shuttle driver was willing to drop me off at the station on his way to the airport, which I appreciated. I walked back from the station to the hotel when finished in center city - it was a feasible walk, but the discontinuous sidewalk and possibility of heavy traffic makes it a little less convenient than one might imagine. During my second stay, I had a rental car - it was a quick drive to the University of Pennsylvania from the hotel. If I visit Philadelphia again on business, I'll be pretty likely to stay here again.
