“A Fabulous Stay!”

Pineapple Inn

All of the terrific reviews of the Pineapple Inn are true. They are truly a gem of a place in beautiful Maui. My husband and I stayed in the cottage for 7 nights and our friends stayed in the bottom 2 bedrooms. They had muffins, bagels, juice, coffee, etc. ready for them when they arrived.

The cottage isn't given any breakfast items as it has a fully equipped kitchen as well as it's own gas grill. There is a washer and dryer on the property so we were able to do some laundry and our own towels when we needed to. Our friends in the bottom 2 bedrooms were given new towels when they needed them.

The travel books and Road to Hana CD provided by the Inn were a great help in planning some last minute trips around the island. We were also able to meet Mark and Steve before they left for Michigan. They were both very nice and helpful in showing us around the property and where the beach items were located. Thanks guys!

Each time we swam in the pool, it seemed as though we were the only ones there! It was so wonderful to take a dip morning or night!

We will definitely be back to the Pineapple Inn someday! You can't beat the beautifully landscaped property, privacy and price!

Mahalo Mark and Steve!

“Perfect Honeymoon Venue for Great Price”

Pineapple Inn

It's hard to find any fault at the Pineapple Inn. The gardens that welcome guests at the front of the inn are immaculate. The fruit trees and flowers made us feel like we've truly arrived in a tropical paradise.

Our room on the 2nd Floor had a balcony with a tremendous view stretching up the Southwest coast of Maui. We felt like we were the only ones staying at the inn, eating breakfasts on the balcony.

The rooms are a moderate size, complete with a kitchenette, a stocked refrigerator with juices, muffins, fruit, yogurt, etc, air-conditioning, fan, and a queen sized bed. The mattress itself was fine, but definitely not as comfortable as ours at home. The bathroom had a large stand-up shower that was clean.

Outside the room is a bureau-stand which holds clean towels, and also has a variety of Maui guide books, including "Maui Revealed" and an audio recording ot the Road to Hana.

The location is about a 5 minute drive to many restaurants in Kihei and its beaches. It's a quick 1 minute drive down the hill to the highway and made for easy access to all parts of the island. The Southwest part of the island is rather dry, and the landscape more desert-like, but we appreciated not needing to deal with humidity or mosquitos.

The pool and gardens behind the inn are likewise beautiful and very private. We swam to Hawaiian tunes (coming from discreetly place speakers) during the afternoons, and felt like we were the only ones there.

All in all, a wonderful place to get away with a signficant other. You'll feel like you're in a tropical paradise.

“Almost Perfect...”

Best value on the island! All the 5 star reviews that you have read are correct. These guys do it right. They are professionals and it absolutely shows. Details, details, details---really great.
I've read in some reviews that the owners are not always present.
That may be somewhat true but look at the price.
We had one night at one of the larger hotels w/ ocean view and quite frankly compared to the Pineapple Inn it paled in comparison.
Both owners were present when we were there and we had some nice talks but these guys really give you your space.
So if you absolutely need a concierge --then move on.
But if you're somewhat independent then book a room fast!

It's also in a functioning neighborhood about 12 mins. away from Big Beach. So you're not on the ocean and you will hear some cars on the back road. But the gardens and the rooms and the intimate pool and the hot-tub. AND the value will ease away all concerns. Great location too w/ easy access to beaches and up-country.

“Heavenly & Romantic Honeymoon”

The Pineapple Inn is a little piece of heaven. The tropical flora, the beautiful and comfortable room, the pool, the sunsets at the hot tub, the birds singing in the morning, and those chocolate macadamia's waiting for us when we arrived! YUM!

I couldn't think of a better place for a quiet and romantic honeymoon. The location is just far enough away from the tourists but close enough to chose your beach and dining preference.

We'll be back!

“How do you create a wonderful experience?”

Pineapple Inn

5 of 5 stars

Yes, how do you create a wonderful experience? Well, you have your guests arrive just as the sun is setting in Wailea. You build an arbor and cover it in flowering vines that release their scent just as evening comes. You create a winding path through ginger and banana trees and exotic flowers of every colour, that leads to the private entrance of your guest suites. Then you add plantation style furnishings, artwork, delightfully crisp bedding, a full fridge...and a view of the sunset, pool, and twinkling fairy lights.

When your guests arrive, they find the scented air is silky warm, the room inviting, the promise of an evening swim in the salt water pool enticing, the pleasures to come still as yet undiscovered...

Mark and Steve, you have created the total experience at the Pineapple Inn. We thank you. We will be back as soon as we can!!!!!
