I booked this hotel using Priceline. I had stayed here when it was a Days Inn, and was a bit hesitant when I was "awarded" this hotel through Priceline, but when you get it through Priceline you are stuck with it. I trusted that since it was not a Holiday Inn, things were more acceptable than the old run down hotel this place had become. I couldn't believe the incredible transformation when I walked in. I was floored. Everything and everyone was new. Beautiful lobby and a great staff from desk clerk down to housekeeping. I ate at the restaurant, and used the bar and the service was well above average. The rooms are very comfortable and warm. It was in Feb. when I stayed there, so the pool wasn't in season so I can't comment on anything there. I would definitely stay there again and would advise anyone wanting a good place to stay in Dallas to stay there too. The neighborhood around the hotel is a bit old, but improving. If there was one thing that could need improvement was I could not connect to the Internet via wireless, but I did connect using a high speed wired connection (be sure to bring your own Cat 5 cable). The mirror in the bathroom was too low, but I'm a very tall person too. I probably am being picky when I find errors with this place since it was so nice I can't say too much against it. Rooms are nice sized and beds were very comfortable (they are BRAND NEW)! This hotel opened in January of 2008 after a 2 year renovation. Enjoy your stay here, I would recommend it to anyone. You definitely get your money's worth at this very moderately priced hotel.
