My son and I stayed in the Courtyard Marriott in Lake Buena Vista 6/15/08-6/22/08. The hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a room with a balcony facing the front parking lot. We didn't really have any problems with loud noise from the cars or people entering the hotel. The only noise I heard in the hallway was when other guests closed their doors. Our room was very clean with fresh towels put out everyday by the hotel cleaning staff. The beds were comfortable especially after a long day at the parks.

The breakfast buffet was adequate and the staff was nice as well. They have two pools and a hot tub. We went to all three. Parents with small kids should be very cautious in the larger pool as it starts out kind of deep, so you should keep a close eye on your kids. The second pool may be better for smaller kids who are just beginning to swim.

My only complaint is about the hotel shuttle. It is NOT convenient if you have a schedule. There are generally only two trips that take you to the parks in the morning. The first trip was at 7:50 a.m. for Magic Kingdom and Epcot. The first trip for Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios was at 8:55 a.m. It runs on average about every two hours. You are NOT able to get FROM the HOTEL to ANY of the parks using the shuttle after 4:30p.m. (12:05p.m. for Animal Kingdom and 3:30 p.m. for Hollywood Studios). The Courtyard shares the shuttle with other hotels in the area so it can get quite full at times especially when you are trying to return from the parks. There aren't any problems with getting onto the shuttle to go to the parks because the Courtyard is usually the first or second stop. There is no shuttle that takes you to Downtown Disney. I didn't feel that Downtown Disney was within walking distance especially with a small child. Its about 1.5 miles to the entrance gate of Downtown Disney with a large busy intersection to cross then you have to walk about another mile or so to get to the actual area. My advice would be to drive or rent a car if you are going to be on a strict schedule, otherwise, the hotel shuttle may not work for you.

Overall, my experience at this hotel was very good and I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would rethink is the transportation.

My sister and I enjoyed a night at the Courtyard after a busy and hot day at EPCOT.

The room was a good size. We did have a small balcony that looked out at the road.

We didn't hear any corridor noise and the A/C made good white noise to cover the truck traffic out front.

We spent an hour at the pool in the morning before check-out. It was clean and very quiet.

Our room rate included breakfast. There was a good selection of food from which to choose. In fact, I made a Mickey waffle and put some whipped cream on it. I mentioned to a breakfast attendant that strawberries would taste great on the waffle. A few moments later she returned with a small bowlful for me.

Eventhough they have shuttles to the theme parks, the one going to EPCOT didn't have a good schedule for us. We ended up driving and spending $11 for parking. If you are flexible for leaving, the shuttle may work for you.

We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend. We arrrived on the 4th at 3:00 pm with no line and a very nice welcome. The staff throughout was very nice and professional. We stayed in one of the suites and the room was very comfortable with extra feather pillows. It was very clean and in good condition, a tiny bit of wear and tear in the tub area but nothing to be concerned about - still clean. The only thing that I would say was a negative about the room is that they had double beds and the sofa bed is a twin. Would have been nice to have queens and a double sofabed...the room wouldn't have been big enough for that though. I believe the regular rooms have queens.

The property had two pools, we only went to the main pool with the hot tub and kiddie pool...very nice. The other pool near the suites looked great but I can't comment on the details. The hot tub was nice and hot and had a pretty cool waterfall flowing into it. The pool was perfect temp and clean and there were plenty of chairs and towels. The grounds were beautifully landscaped as well.

We took advantage of a 2 free adult breakfast buffet coupon we received when booking each morning so breakfast was cheap for us, normally it's $8.95 for adults and $4.95 for kids...we have 3 kids so breakfast was only $20 including tax and tip each morning. If I didn't have the coupon I probably still would have eaten there...the food was plentiful - pancakes, eggs, hash browns, sausage gravy and biscuits, sausage links and bacon as well as an assortment of cereals, fruit, pastries and juices. They also had a Belgian waffle station that made waffles in the shape of Mickey Mouse...the kids loved that...especially topped with whipped cream and warm syrup. Service each morning was very pleasant and accomodating, we were very pleased.

Overall, I would definitely stay here again...I'm a Marriott Rewards member and hardly have a bad experience at any Marriott property. The only reason I wouldn't stay here again is because I like staying in different places and Marriott has many choices to choose from in Orlando. The property is located very close to many restaurants and is basically right across the street from the Disney Resorts entrance...very quick trip to any of the parks and especially close to DownTown Disney.

Booked this on Expedia as it was cheap and seemed like a good hotel. Couldn't go wrong with this one! We got a balcony view and 2 pools to use. The hotel was great and didn't mind us coming or going at 4am etc. The hotel barmaid was very friendly and wouldn't mind us kicking it in the lobby and watching the Euro 2008 football games. The room was clean and the maids were friendly and spoke English.

Overall it was a good hotel and great location for Disney
