I was scheduled to stay at this hotel for 2 nights for work. following a long weekend in Santa Monica.
Check in was smooth- the valet were quite nice as my husband would only be with me a few hours so they did not charge us a full fee. The bell man was quite helpful and the room was gorgeous- I had a junior suite with two separate balconies. The room was clean but contained no toilet paper so i had to call for that.
My husband and i enjoyed the pool- the water was very warm which was a treat. The bartender at the pool was not nice- he seemed quite annoyed when i was not sure what I wanted (no one else was waiting).
The "complimentary car" stops running quite early even though they tell you it will run late- not a big deal but still....
After the pool, there was a note in my room saying that the power would be out the following day for 2.5 hours during a critical time for me. i was attending a red carpet event and needed to get ready during that time. the manager on duty said they could get me into a GYM to get ready- UM NO that will not work for a hollywood red carpet event. my colleagues were able to get us out of the hotel for the second night which was great.
i did sleep well and was impressed with the TV selection for the night I was there.
i have to agree with a previous poster about details- there is not attention to them here.
Lastly- check out was a nightmare- the desk clerk was VERY rude- she said they had charged me for both nights but would reimburse me for the second night but it took a lot of persistence to get that receipt showing my reimbursement. She seemed annoyed with me when I asked for that.
while the rooms were nice and the pool was great, i will not be going back to this hotel anytime soon. Rude staff is not acceptable when I am a guest.
