Just returned from our third trip to this wonderful place. Living Waters was our first trip to a clothing-optional resort. Going was my wife's idea (no, really!), and I was a bit nervous, but owners Jeff and Judy put us right at ease. (Walking into the office and seeing Judy doing regular office stuff -- opening mail, typing on the computer -- while wearing just her birthday suit definitely sets the tone!)
There's no pressure to go "natural" and several patrons do wear bathing suits or parts thereof. I decided to go with the flow, and while it felt strange at first, it wasn't long before I felt completely at ease. One unexpected benefit: Visiting LWS has helped me get over my body issues. Who knew going on vacation could build self-esteem?
My wife and I often chat with our fellow guests and have never felt even the slightest bit awkward; everyone we've met is on the up-and-up and comes just to enjoy the freedom that clothing-optional places provide. It's just like any other resort, except most of the guests (and the owners) just happen to be nude. Some guests are social, others choose a quiet area and keep to themselves, and everyone respects that. (I should add that LWS is a small place; I don't think I've ever seen more than a dozen or a dozen and a half guests during the day, and much less than that at nights and on weekdays.)
To sum it up, we hadn't even finished our first stay when we booked our second trip. I now look forward to visiting Living Waters as a place to truly relax and unwind. We get a room with a kitchen and bring food so we don't have to leave (there's nothing more depressing than getting dressed after a day of clothing-free swimming and sunning!). The whole place is eat-off-the-floor immaculate, and reliable, fast wi-fi means I can bring my laptop and get work done, which gives us an excuse to stretch our stays even longer. If I could spend every weekend there, I probably would.
