“Great Cottage Colony”

Pink Beach Club & Cottages

Went this past October with my parents and siblings to the Pink Beach Club to celebrate my Parent's 40th Wedding Anniversary. For rooms, my parents and older brother had opted for ocean view junior suites, while my sister and I had both gone fore garden view cottage suites. Well upon arrival, my sister was upgraded to an ocean view junior suite, and I to an ocean front junior suite. All of our rooms were very nice, and had either balconies or patios over looking the ocean. Mine was just a few steps from the beach which was quite nice. The property itself was lovely, with nice grounds and lovely beaches. I was partial to the east beach close to my room, where my sister perfered the west beach which seemed a bit deeper. The main common spaces of the hotel have a nice bermudian charm, though I think the bar could use a little freshening up. The meals were great, especially the dinners out on the patio. The main dinning room was also quite nice, though the music that was played by the pianist could get a bit loud from our table. There was not a lot going on after dinner at the hotel, though we were there during the MLB playoffs, so a good group of guests were enthralled with the Red Sox or Yankees series going on. Internet was free ona little library off the main hallway, and there was never much of a wait which was nice. The only small complaint we had was that the pool almost seemed an afterthought, crowded up next to the main house, a little too close to the dining patio. But with the beaches just a few steps away, it was easy to forgive. We enjoyed the location of the hotel, almost midway between Hamilton and St. George, as it allowed us to sample both. As we were on the MAP we did not mind that there were not really many other restaurants near by. My dad, and brother and brother-in-law played golf over at Tucker's Point and greatly enjoyed it. They would have played Mid-Ocean, but as the PGA tournament was there the next week, there were a few too many restrictions. Three of us rented scooters from Wheels on site, and felt they were great to deal with. All in all I would definitely recommend the Pink Beach Club to any family or couple looking to get away for a nice trip.

“Loved it despite the hurricane”

My wife and I were hoping for a quick romantic getaway. We didn't count on a hurricane in November. Nevertheless this is a very nice resort. Parts of the main house are showing a bit of age, but the place is overall quite lovely. The staff catered to our every request without hesitation. The food was very good. Our room was very comfortable, not super elegant, but still perfect for us with a nice ocean view from our deck. I would recommend a room closer to the larger beach. We did get one morning on the beach and that was lovely. With cooperative weather, this would be a great place!! We'll be back.

“Relaxing Getaway”

MY husband and I recently spent three nights at the PBC. We stayed in an Oceanview Junior Suite. The location and beaches were absolutley beautiful. We were there at the end of August, and we had the beach to ourselves most of the time. The food in the main dinning room was excellent. The wine list was extensive, but expensive. I would recommend going into Hamilton and buying some wine to bring back to your room, you can sit on th patio and enjoy the oceanviews. If you are looking for a place with a lively nightlife, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Bermuda the PBC would be perftect.

“Perfect PBC”

Pink Beach Club & Cottages

PBC is a very good resort. Service is prompt, all people of the staff are friendly and they strive for serving the clients. Location is perfect: on a wonderful beach, never crowded. PBC is located 30 minutes by bus from St. George and from Hamilton (bus stop is a few steps from the hotel). We had an ocean front junior suite: location cannot be better (take note: Sea cliff 4). The room was very large, very clean, a nice bathroom. We always took dinner - we had a MAP - in the main dining room (jacket please!). The service has been always very good; the quality and variety of food has been at top level (a few drawbacks, however never disappointing). The extra costs for wine are HUGE (very wide choice, by the way). Fair to say that the resort is VERY expensive (Bermuda is very expensive), and someone could expect a "super" resort with "super" services, and I can understand some very strong reviews; PBC is a very good choice in Bermuda, and if back I'll be stay here again.

“quiet and friendly”

Pink Beach Club & Cottages

This was my first visit to Bermuda and since it was our wedding anniversary I splashed out a bit and paid a little more than I normally would for a five-night vacation. Our first -chioice hotels were fully booked, but I found a nice suite at Pink Beach, and chose it based on good ratings here. I had to swallow hard at the price ($900 a night) but it was a special occasion.

First, the location: right on the beach as promised, quiet, and utterly gorgeous. Although our suite was not as ultra luxurious as the five-star hotels we've stayed at, the setting was lovely and very comfortable. We don't play golf or tennis; we were there to relax and to snorkel. There are some okay snorkeling sites right off the beach, but it was windy four out of the five days we were there, and I was very disappointed in the conditions. But that certainly isn't the hotel's fault.

Second, the food: very good. The indoor dining room had five-course meals with excellent choices. We're pretty picky, and we were happy with the offerings, except for the fact they had horrible coffee. But then, that must be the British influence. (In fact, that was our big complaint with Bermuda in general -- horrid coffee!) The wine list was only so-so.

Third: amenities. The pool was a sorry, sorry affair -- right in the midst of the dining area, so you felt naked and exposed going for a swim there, with an audience of diners. The east beach, while beautiful, had a distinct dearth of umbrellas and you had to get there early to scrounge up some shade. If you want shade, you have to head for the less-crowded west beach, where there are more umbrellas .. but no one to cater to your drink or food needs. For the price we paid, I would think there would be more beach staff to bring you drinks. I've been to Caribbean resorts (say, Anse Chastenet) where we were catered to more lovingly at the water's edge, and the fact Pink Beach Club didn't do so was quite disappointing.

Fourth: the staff. Very friendly. We learned that there were several families who were repeat visitors, so obviously many guests are happy enough to come back again and again.

Overall, it was a very nice vacation, but I'm thinking of trying a different Bermuda resort next time, just to compare.
