Business serviceThe hotel had many positive points, the rooms are comfy, the bathroom is first class, and it was well cleaned every day. There are 2 computers available for internet in the lobby but they are almost occupied, and the speed is also frustrating (but thats no big deal since there are "locutorios" in every corner of BsAs where you can use internet or make phone calls) The breakfast is superb. Probably the best thing about the hotel is the location, right in the heart of Recoleta neighborhood which is the most charming one in BsAs, right in the corner of 2 streets with many cool restaurants, bookstores, cafes etc.. If I am to pick 2 negative experiences, I would point out the not-so-friendly staff members, who wouldnt even say "good morning" (except for the bellboys who were kind). The other strange thing happened one night, at around 9 PM (lights were out) when the door of my room was knocked, as I was sleepy I didnt reply and for my surprise the maid opened the door!!! then realising there were ppl inside, she apologised and closed it. What was she supposed to be doing in the room at night without being requested? we called the reception and was given a prompt reponse that "it was a routine for the maids to check if the guests were in need of anything".. but.. without being requested? and if noone replies she just walks in the room?? that is VERY strange... but eventually nothing happened and I can recommend it

Business serviceWe stayed here one night while traveling from Uruguay to Tandil & did not have a pleasant experience. First of all, we had looked up rates on the internet but did not have a chance to book through a website. We asked about the internet rates and were told they could not honor that rate so we had to pay around $130 USD. You can get WAY more in BA for $130 USD a night. The rooms are very old and out dated. And, when our taxi dropped us off, we were out of pesos and only had $100 US bill, so, we ran into the hotel lobby, where they exchanged for pesos, only to realize the next day after check out that the conciere had given us a fake $100 peso. On a positive note, we did have a nice large bathroom that appeared to be very clean. But, after staying in 5 hotels through our stay in Argentina, there are many nicer hotels that cost the same or less.

Business serviceTerrible experience. It is a 1 star hotel. Ugly rooms, bathrooms, ugly breakfast. Terrible service. You can get for the same price a better hotel. We stayed only one night and we moved for the same price to a 5 star hotel. If you travel a lot like us and know about hotels do not stay in this one.

Business serviceWe stayed at Wilton for 2 weeks. We used this hotel as our base when visiting Buenos Aires and the surrounding area. We also left the hotel for 2 nights to visit the Iguazu falls in the Missiones province, but kept most of our luggage there. This was fine with the hotel, and they kept the keycard for us while we were away.
The location is great, we felt completely safe in the Recoleta/Barrio Norte neighbourhood. There's always people around, so it's never unpleasant to go out. People of Buenos Aires generally go out to dinner very late, around 10 pm and later.
There's a really good restaurant just around the corner called Cumanà. Cheap and good food, but be sure to get there before 8 pm or you'll have to wait in line for a table. It's a pretty "young" place, with crowds coming in to drink beer, eat, talk and laugh.
The staff of Wilton were always friendly and helpful. Not everyone speaks English. Silvia speaks great English and is very nice. There are 2 Internet PCs in the lobby, but they are almost always busy. Maybe they should get one or two more. The breakfast room is large and pleasant with a TV showing news and weather broadcasts. The buffet is absolutely terrific: Pastries, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, white and wholewheat bread (two toasters for the guests to use), eggs, different spreads, coffee, tea, milk and two kinds of juice. All very fresh and tempting.
The room was a comfy place to come back to after a long day out in BA. Nice comfy bed, great bathroom, TV with loads of channels, many in English. Terrible view out of the window, but we didn't care. Easy-to-use AC on the wall. We preferred the "Low Cool" setting as the "High Cool" actually felt way too cold and left us shivering under the sheet.
