We arrived in Sharm about 8 o'clock and were surprised to see the sun setting so early which made Domina Time (an hour in front of Egypt Time) wonderful. You need to be careful when booking excursions as these are not always on hotel time!! When we arrived at the hotel there were porters there to take us on a golf cart to our rooms. (We tipped the porter and he was our best friend for the rest of the trip!). The room was lovely, a sea view but not a duplex suite. There was a 4 poster bed, two set of sofa's - inside and on the balcony- that were very clean and many other furnishings. The shower was lovely although water pressure was low which I believe is common in the whole of Sharm. The whole resort was lovely, the gift shops were great as were the Taf Tafs - LOVED THEM!! We ate out at the Steak restaurant a couple of nights which was very reasonable although the pool bar was extortionate for drinks. My partner and I both suffered with upset stomachs the whole week (not due to food - I think it was the heat). We spent most of our time at the pool bar in the evenings and met up with a few English couples and the barman was a star. It is definitely an idea to tip the barmen/waiters so that they treat you well!!
We went into Naama Bay twice - one in the day and once at night. I would definitely not recommend going in the day. There are a lot less tourists and the Shopkeepers relly hassle you. They tried to steal things and will grab you and pull you into their shops (which have all been "open for one week"!!!) Night time was a completely different affair and the experience was brilliant.
All in all the holiday was fantastic...if you arrive thinking that you are going to stay in a 5* hotel by english standards you will be dissapointed. This is a brand new resort (was not even built in 1985) but all standards are very high and Egyptians are very friendly.
