my husband and i had a nice relaxing holiday hotel lovely staff could not do enough for you.the weather was very hot spent all day by one of the many lovely pools always plenty of sun loungers pools never too crowded.everthing is so clean for such a big resort rooms are done every day to a high standard.entertainment is almost none existant not a lot to do in evenings many activities go on during the day if you are feeling energetic but alas it was to hot for us to join in my husband does not keep good health and needs the help of a stick to get around.you are about half an hour from na na bay there are no local transport you have to take a taxi there and back cost £20. we would not go back to egypt but saying that it is a lovely place to get a great suntan and meet wonderful friendly people

“Second Time And Still Loved It”

This was our second time to this hotel, first time June 2007 we had a wonderful time and met some really nice people staff and guests. But after checking the reviews on TA all year I thought it might not be as good, but we enjoyed it just as much .
Ps get a sunbed down near Las Palmas Bar and hopefully Emad will look after you - Top Man

Excellent value for money- cannot fault it

Tips

1) Take extra coat hangers.
2) Take a kettle if you like a morning cuppa.
3) Ask for bottled water at the bar before retiring
4) If travelling with Thomsons take advantage of the free visit to the al a carte restaurants ( Italian was very good)
5) Learn a few Egyptian phrases the locals will love it

“We had a great holiday........ super hotel”

Jaz Mirabel Beach

Jun 30, 2008

We arrived back yesterday from a great holiday......
This was our 4th visit to sharm , previous 3 times in theGrand Azure.....we thought that was great but over run with Russians....this hotel was a real step up
Jaz mirabel Beach is a super hotel which is clean and such a great place to stay.
The hotel is huge with vast space and is not over full. Beds on the beach and around the pool available at any time no issue.

The room attendants deliver a clean room, and try to add special touches like towels in different shapes everyday and bunches of nice smelling herbs in the room.

Food hot and refreshed often, didnt have meal when we coulnt find something we liked. they had a Special country theme each day.....Chinese, italian..germany....English....egyptian....

The staff can not do enough for you..... some take the asking you if everything is okay a bit too far.But they are only trying.

The hotel needs to build a jetty.... for the guests and to protect the coral. But so nice walking out in the water to see the amazing fish.

Weather was brill, with a nice breeze to keep it manageable
in total a really great hotel.
It is 5* ...Eygptian level..... but would take a lot to beat at the prices we pay.

We have read about things being stolen and bad stomachs but we did not experiance anything or hear anything about any bad situations.

Enjoy the sun and relax and have a good time.

“Fur Coat - No Knickers!!!”

Jaz Mirabel Beach

Jun 24, 2008
1/1 found this review helpful

Location: Nabq - 15 mins from airport in the opposite direction from the main tourist area. Good for some, not for others who wish to get out and explore or go on excursions.

Hotel: Very clean, well maintained, easy to navigate.

Rooms: Very clean, well maintained. Mini bar is NOT free? 5*?
Lock your valubles away!!!

Beach: Clean, plenty of beds. 5 minute walk from reception.
You can ride Camels and Horses here.(Casanova the camel will give you a kiss) Huts to hire snorkel equip. Dive centre where you can also book excursions at a fraction of the price charged by Tson. We booked a private cruise boat for upto 10 people to take us out to snorkel on reefs and then on to find wild Dolphins (amazing!!!) Also used to book an evening quad bike trek.
There is a 20 min walk out to the sea across very shallow water but not much to see when you get there. **See other reviews regarding bay** The pontoon belongs to the hotel next door and they will not let you use it.

Pools: Good selection with walk in slopes, great for young kids if you dont want to use the kids/baby pool. Never crowded.
Lots of sunbeds and never a fight for location. You also have access to the water slides in the Mirabel park section behind the spa. However, they do not allow you to use the bars or pools in that area. (They use the 5* amenities!!).

Staff: They do their best. Very friendly while you are tipping. Love young kids. Nuff said. (Wife has told me to add that they are sleazy)

There is a shopping arcade "Market Area" over priced in general but you can haggle to pick up some bargains - bags and jewellry. Luca who does the henna tattoos is a great guy and can point you in the right direction for most things, you can find him in the hairdressers; they do great wet shaves and threading.

FOOD: The BIG let down. You will find something to eat but do not expect it to be of 5* quality. Eat at your own peril! I was ill for 3 days (bed bound) Had to call the resort Dr.Out of our party of 7 only my 3 yr old girl did not suffer. Everyone who we spoke to had suffered or were suffering. Can only compare food to that of a service station cafe.

Management: They do not give a [--]!!! Probably because we dared to complain about having the [--]. They have no fear in shouting at you and telleing you not moan like the English. They will not phone police if you report a theft. We had a camera & ciggis stolen from our room. Others we met had football kits stolen.

Beach Towels: Cards allocated on arrival, make sure they give the right amount or the will charge you. Watch your towels or they get nicked.

Casinos: We tried the Sinai Grand (25mins in taxi £14 return from outside hotel gates) 5 eoro min bet on tables and they do not take Egypt pound. Very busy even at 3am.
We also tried Coral Bay reosrt (Resort is HUGE. They send a car to pick you up from the gates) Min bet $1 on tables and quieter so you can get on the tables. They accept £Egypt ( 20 mins in taxi £12 return) You will need to take your passport for both casinos.

Best meal we had was in Old Sharm £34 for the 7 of us including a lobster! Table was full of food and drinks all night. (Caught the restaurant manager from Mirabel eating there). Sorry cant remember the name of restaurant. Easy to give direction/description if you email me.

Animation team: Italian, Speak good English but tent to stick to the Italians. Keep you busy if you want during the day but rubbish at night. Nothing for young kids day or night. It appears that the kids club is for Italians only.

Hope this helps and you have an enjoyable holiday!

I arrived home from one of the best holidays ever 4days ago. I hope by reading this that ye will be able to make the most of your holiday to this hotel.
Airport
It is not very organised and we were not sure how much we had to pay for a visa, but make sure you get one if you plan on travelling. On the way home the duty free was not great so buy drink and cigarettes on the way out.
Hotel
Absolutely stunning hotel, from the moment we drove up we knew it was gonna be total luxury.Marble reception and fully airconditioned, the grounds, pool area, rooms, bars and beach area are all magnificent. We fully recommend the health spa and also to go snorkleing even near the hotel is great.
Food
We stayed for 2weeks as 'all inclusive' which was so handy, ate in the buffet all except 5times.Food was not the best in the hotels buffet. We ate in naama bay in the hard rock cafe and tgi fridays, great food in both places!!My partner and I were both sick for about 3days the first week but the local chemist gave us a few tablets. We dont know what made us sick but almost everyone else that we talked to were either sick or had been sick.

We booked our holiday with Budget Travel as we usually travel with them and get on great. Our biggest complaint is about the egyptians that we met working in the various places.
The budget travel reps here were all from egypt and to be honest I only liked 1 of them out of about20,the rest were very ignorant and not helpful. For example,we were on a trip to luxor and in the airport on the way home our flight was at 19.30 but the rep announced 19.50 so everyone was asking what did he say,and my partner said to him that our flight was supposed to be 19.30,and the rep replied 'what did I say, read my lips'!!!!!!!!
We had a few other events like this which really put a downer on our holiday. Also we found that the reception staff were not very helpful and we had problems checking out.

I would like to make it clear that the bar staff, guest relation staff and house keeping staff were all great and we could not have asked for any better!!!!
We would go back but not for a few years anyway.
