Well, my family and I have just got back from this wonderful place after spending 2 weeks b&b there. The clue about this hotel is in the name - 'Palace' it is honestly like one, you are treated as if you are royalty, its absolutely amazing: the service, the food, the people, the room, the beach and the pool, everything really is just absoulety fantastic!

We loved it so much we're going again either at christmas or early next year!

i'd give it 1000 stars not five :)

really and truely amazing!

definitely recommended to EVERYONE!

thank you very much!

“Wonderful hotel in a great location!”

We spent 10 days HB in this hotel and it was wonderful and relaxing holiday. The Hotel is located just across the street of Old Market and about 10 min. taxi drive to Naama Bay which should't cost more than 20 L.E. The beach is excellent and there are always sunbeds available. Pool is great with a bar and you could order and drink and still not leave the pool at all. Room was big with great central air-conditioning, tv and good bathroom. Room service is nice and efficient and they have great tuna sandwiches. Food was good, pretty good food variety, lots of vegetables, meat and seafood, but I think there was lack of fruits but this is Sinai so... We were on HB so we ate at local Chinese restaurant right across the street ( 1 min. walk) food was good and cheap. During our stay, our friend next room had a birthday surprise from the hotel employees , who were very charming singing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" song and bringing him nice and big piece of cake. It was very pleasant to watch and caring from the hotel. The local beer Sakara and Stella (cost less than 3 euros in the hotel) is good when you are drinkin' it cold on the beach. Mango juice is also great (less than 3 euros for a glass in hotel but 2 euros liter in supermarket across the street), my girlfriend Elena like it a lot. Overall great hotel and great holiday.

“Good choise, best beach”

Iberotel Palace

Like many others reviewers I had a lot of doubts while choosing a hotel in Sharm as they have so many hotels there. After a lot of reading I picked the Palace and I'm glad I did. My husband and I stayed half B. from the 4th to 10th June and we had an almost perfect week holiday.
The rooms are good sized, clean and comfortable. As we arrived after dinner time, we asked for room service that is quality/price balanced. The beach bar is a good option for lunch, nice salads, pizzas, sandwiches, etc. Egyptian Stella beer is very good and they serve it really cold.
The breakfast and dinner buffet has enough options to please anyone and is served at the La Coupole Restaurant that has a charming terrace all around it. If you like white wine you should try the Egyptian Obelisk. Skip the local red.
The only negative note goes for the mini disco schedule and place. It is next to the dinning restaurant and starts noisy at 20h00. If you stay inside, no problem, but if you choose the terrace you’ll understand what I mean.
We had a romantic dinner (not included) on the beach and it was really special and we loved all about it. Sushi, sea food cocktail, fish soup, lobster, strawberry ice cream with fruit and biscuit… while they play romantic music and make you feel royalty.
The hotel location is perfect, the very well kept botanic gardens (so many different flowers, plants and trees) ends directly in the sandy beach. In front of reception you’ll find a mall and the old market where we’ll experience the local atmosphere in spite all is there for tourists.
Don’t forget that Sharm El Sheikh is a tourism place. If you want to visit the real Egypt you must go else where.
The sandy beach is the best you can find as most of the others hotels don't have a real beach at all. They are next to a cliff, they have (some times big) stairs to the water and no sand at all. If you do like to stay at the beach, this is it.
We went mostly for diving and the diving center staff (CFun divers) is friendly and helpful as it can get.
The red sea under waters is like being in a giant tropical aquarius where hundreds of different colorful fishes drift along the breath taking lovely coral. Even if you're not a diver, snorkeling will be enough to have a once in a life time experience.
While you’re diving you can’t fly so we missed Luxor and Cairo visits. We went to st. Catherine Chapell and it was a nice day, traveling by the Sinai desert, having lunch in a bedouin tent, visiting Nahab village. If you choose this program, please don’t buy where the guides tell you to. It’s a rip off. And don’t forget: while outside the resort never pay more than one third of the initial price.

“Great time, lovely hotel but noisy”

Iberotel Palace

May 27, 2008

We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks from 8 May. The weather was great and a couple of days it was almost too hot. The beach is lovely, although loungers are mostly booked by 7.30 a.m., with occupants turning up at 11.00! Extremely annoying - as was the booming music that started on the last day of our stay and came from the public beach opposite. We had to leave the beach, it was so annoying and if it carries on through the summer, I would not want to book this hotel.

Food was really good, excellent breakfast and plenty of choice for lunch and dinner. The Italian restaurant is a bit of a joke and was empty on the night we went, although we had to book the day before and a couple who wanted to just walk in were told they had to make a reservation! Food wasn't that good anyway.

The Russians deserve their reputation, they are really unpleasant and rather rude to everyone. They didn't turn up in force until the second week and I would try to book to avoid them in future.

I found the hotel rather noisy at night which was disappointing. The entertainment was very patchy, two or three good nights at the Arena but on the whole nothing exceptional. However, we seemed to be tired and in bed by 10.00 p.m. most nights, as did everyone we spoke to, so it was not really a problem.

The staff are lovely, all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotless with cleaners working all the time. I thought the Wellness Centre was a bit of a rip-off - I had a massage that on reflection was very over-priced, but that's my fault for booking it I guess.

You can always find fault with any hotel, but on the whole it is excellent value, with great staff, good food, and its clean. Can't ask for more than that!
