We stayed for a week at the Mirabel Club 08/06/08-15/06/08 and only one word can accurately sum it up... FANTASTIC!!!! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the gardens and pools are fabulous. The staff everywhere in the resort could not do enough to help in any way they could and were all so friendly! This was our first visit to Egypt and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Only two points were negative 1) The beach was rather a long way away and you couldn't swim without walking for a good bit (but the pools were excellent so we weren't worried) 2) The staff of the animation team did not seem to have an idea of how to entertain anyone. When they did the games night, we had fun but that was it! When they organised a game of water polo, they played for 10 mins then disappeared! My 2 teenage daughters were bored stiff every evening!! When they did the disco, they told them to go on and they'd meet them there but they stayed all evening at the bar chatting!! Relax, good food, gorgeous weather, all in beautiful surroundings... shame about the entertainment!!!

“Worst holiday ever!!! Jaz Mirabel Club”

Jaz Mirabel Club

We have just recently returned from Egypt which can only be described as the “Holiday from Hell”.

We arrived at the Jaz Mirabel Club Hotel on the 26th May for fourteen nights (big mistake) !!

First impression of the hotel was good as the grounds were well maintained and the reception area was clean, we were shown to our room which was located next to the children’s area, although we do not have children ourselves. On an evening we were unable to sit on our balcony as children were playing at the park or we could hear music from the hotel lobby bar (mostly German) therefore the evenings consisted of sitting in our room watching tv.

That would be bad enough but the kids club started in the middle of the pool from 10am until 12pm (evening) except Thursdays.
They catered for Germans only, and there was no entertainment the whole time we were there for English apart from a few cd’s during the day which included some fabulous Christmas tunes which is exactly what you want to hear when its 40 degrees (an English tourist turned this off after the third time).

Then we “dined” at the CACTUS Restaurant this would be ideal if you liked uncooked meat, bland food , and chefs who have no hygiene standards - this is definitely the hotel for you!!! We tried to eat at the Ginger snack bar and sampled uncooked burgers which we then took back to the chef and he denied the food was raw and refused to eat it himself.

We were both poorly on this holiday with sickness and diarrhoea and when we eventually made it out of our rooms and were chatting to people around the pool we established that we were not the only ones who were suffering and everyone was experiencing exactly the same symptoms. During our stay at the Mirabel Club we were informed that there was an outbreak of over 20 cases of food poisoning in the Mirabel Beach. We contacted the rep and advised him of our concerns of the food and entertainment and we were then given the option of dining in the Park’s restaurant which had the same food as the Cactus therefore this did not resolve our problem! We were also advised it was a children’s holiday which was why the hotel had entertainment on for German kids – This is not clearly stated in the holiday brochure.

We booked a trip but we were both suffering from upset stomachs and could not attend therefore we wasted £70 which we are trying to get refunded.

At the minute we still have upset stomachs even though we arrived back from Egypt on Monday 9th June.

Myself and my partner have travelled to many destinations on holiday and both agreed that this was the worst place that we had ever visited in our lives needless to say we will NEVER be returning to Egypt or the Jaz Mirabel complex!!

After arriving in very hot egypt, we arrived at the jaz mirabel club. Very nice hotel, reception area very good and clean, staff very friendly.

Went to the rooms and was pleasantly surprised on how big they were and the seperate childrens area BUT very limited storage hanging space, you will only need about five hangers!!!!
The pool area was fantastic, very clean and bar staff and towel man very nice. Water slides great fun, watch your feet going up to the slides as the floor is very very hot. Not allowed to wear T-shirts in any of the pools, you need to buy the spf type t shirts.

Food in general in the cactus restaurant was ok, basic and very much the same, our kids ived on pasta. Ate in the day time at the pool snack bar, the food was cooked fresh and was always hot. Very limited drinks at the bar for all inclusive people,

Enterainment in the day was really poor and hubbie got very bored also the same for the evening. Hubbie done quad biking for one morning, which was really good fun for £25, bargain.

Would go back to egypt as the weather was so great, but not back to this hotel.

We have just returned from our stay at Jaz Mirabel Club, our party consisted of myself, my husband our 3 children aged 4, 9 and 13 and my parents. It is our first time to Egypt and my parents 4th they have stayed in different resorts and commented that this hotel as excellent all round. From the moment we arrived the staff could not be more helpful, we were shown to our rooms, very spacious for 2 adults and 2 children in our room, our other daughter stayed with my parents. We could all have our own space and the rooms were cleaned every day. The food was very good you could always find something to eat even if you are a fussy eater. The wine is very nice and the bread fresh daily. The waiters could not do enough especially Ahemd very friendly. The pools are very clean and being able to use the other hotels pools was a bonus. If you wanted to stay at the beach for the day you could use the beach bar and Reef snack bar for food and drinks. The only niggle would be the day entertainment. They were rubbish, no energy/enthusiasm, the first day we were there we thought we are in parradise! unbeknown to us it was there day off!! I would rate this hotel as 5* but the entertainment brings it down. To get this hotel to standard it deserves the management need to sack the entertainment. All in all though a fabulous holiday and we will be back (with ear plugs!!).

“the holiday from hell”

Jaz Mirabel Club

Jun 12, 2008

My partner and I arrived at the Jaz Mirabel Club resort on 31st may '08 in the evening and were staying for 10 days. First impressions of the hotel were ok until the following day, both myself and partner had stomach cramps and a bad case of Diohoea for the next two weeks we were seriously ill, I was doubled over in pain.
The hygiene of the 'CACTUS RESTAURANT' was appalling and absolutely disgusting, they handelled raw meat with cooked meats which is a serious health warning alone not to mention anything else.

For the course of the holiday we didn't eat in the 'Cactus Restaurant' again, In fact we didn't eat much at all although we were All inclusive.
One day we decided to eat at the 'Ginger bar" food seemed to be ok until a couple sitting next to us had a half cooked burger, she told staff but they really couldn't care less!!

On the Friday we were booked to go Quad biking but couldn't go as we were so ill, we told our tour guide 'Sam' who said there was nothing he could do about it so we had lost 70 pounds.
We complaned to hotel manager but he said it's not there problem.

There was a pregnant lady who was seriously ill and had been rushed to hospital from food poisoning and was on a drip for 2 days. Over 40 people from sister hotel 'Beach' had food poisoning and 37 from the 'Park'.

They catered for Germans only, and there was absolutley no entertainment the whole time for English. They played German music all day at the pool and all night in the bar area, we couldn't even go out as we were so ill and had to make a dash for the toilet every 5 minutes. The bar closed at 11.50pm not 12.00am so we could no longer have anymore drinks as they set there watch forward. Most staff were quite friendly but bar manager was a awful.

I hated ever minute of the time we were there, and couldn't wait to get home, I would never go back to The Jaz Mirabel Club again or even Egypt, I feel like I need another holiday now it was that bad.

We came home yesterday and we are still very ill.
Please DO NOT stay at this hotel, unless your wanting to loose large amount of weight and be in bed or even in the toilet your whole stay.

The worst holiday ever!!!!!!!!!!
I will be taking this further!!!
