Based on my most recent (and first) stay at a Day's Inn, I was dissatisfied with the hotel overall, would not recommend it to anyone based on the price we paid, and was dissapointed that none of the "extras" promised to me were provided.
Upon entering, a sign pointed out to excuse the appearance as it was undergoing renovations, however, no renovations were noticable. It was just a poorly maintained lobby.
The breakfast was lousy and limited, there were no sheets on one of the beds or either of the pullout couches. For $330 a night, I expect to find sheets on the beds. When I called down to complain, I was asked to come to the front desk to get my own sheets to make my own beds! This was completely unacceptable.
Again, for $330, I expected a little more courtesy and a better hotel. The nearby boardwalk hotels had prices just slightly more and were in far better shape than this one.
I was also promised a $20 and $40 gas certificate, but the front desk had no idea what I was talking about, as well as a 5% discount on my stay. I received none of the above.
Based on this first (and only) stay at a Day's Inn, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor would I ever put Day's Inn at the top of my list. I felt cheated by the money I paid, and was embarassed that my guests saw the choice I had made.
