The hotel was about 20-30 mins from the airport.

Me and my family had arrived from the airport about 4 in the morning, but had to wait till about 9 am before we were able to check-in into our room.

The room was fairly large and comfortable, and had a good view of the Dubai skyline and the nearby Dubai Creek. However, the breakfast buffet lacked a bit of variety, and is fairly expensive.

Dubai, in general, has relatively poor public transport, and traffic was bad from late afternoons till night. We had to move around in taxis, which can be fairly steep due to the bad traffic.

The Deira City Centre (the many shopping malls in Dubai) was about a 30 minute walk, if you fancy walking in the sun (mind you, it was 40 C in May! ).

An advantage is that, there is a shuttle bus from the hotel, in the morning, to the Hilton Jumeirah Resort, which is about a 40 minute drive away. Along the way, you can view the construction development that is ongoing in Dubai, including the impressive 705m high Burj Dubai (soon-to-be the tallest structure in the world!).

Overall, the hotel is generally for business travellers. The hotel staff was, in general, very helpful.

For a family vacation, due to its locality, it may cost a bit to move around in a taxi. In addition, one may have difficulty finding food at night.

We stayed for just over a week on business and holiday, whilst the hotel is mainly a business hotel it is still a good base for a holiday. Taxi's very cheap and always one there. Room was massive(executive Queen) very clean and kept like that 2-3 times a day.
Breakfast was loverly, cold buffet and hot cooked to order. Strange you could order just about all the ingredients of a English b/f but if you wanted all on same plate it cost 95dhs??
Ate room service by the pool on roof and once in room on last night very impressive low cost and very nice. Used the laundry service a few times took a few hours and very good and cheap.
The pool on roof is smallish but usable and the view is to die for!
Staff are great very very helpful from the manager downwards and if you get the chance of an invite to the managers cocktail evening go....food and cocktails lovely.
If you go for the executive room book an airport transfer all in with room rate and done very well, we walked out of arrivals 0040 and went to the Hilton man who grabed our bags straight out to waiting limo and in hotel in minutes! Great service.
When we next go to Dubai we will be staying here again.

The ability to use the Penthouse suite for business meetings, meals and a cocktail party, does mean that you almost don't have to leave it, for the whole of your stay, (which with the state of local traffic during the day is an added bonus), and means it's almost worth the money.

However, there was no hot water for the three days of my stay, which was almost inexcusable. This issue was almost offset though, by the efforts of the staff to remedy this. Particular mention to Mr Al Chikh, the Night Manager, and his Herculean efforts to resolve this rather important part of staying in a hot country !!

Notwithstanding, a good location for the Creek area, and airport, and subsequent visits have resolved the Hot-water issue.

Not a tourist location then, but good for business.

This hotel faces onto Dubai Creek so you get a great view of the harbour. It is very near the City Mall and the Airport. The rooms are superb. Also very good food in the restaurants.
