“Good Tourist Hotel - Nice Pool for Relaxing after Being in City!”

We stayed at the Century Park in Jan 2008, on the first part of a multi centre holiday to Thailand.

The hotel was easy to get to from the airport, took about 45 mins, reception check in was smooth and even though we arrived early in the morning, after a quick drink, we were told our room was ready. This was a relief after being very tired after flying for hours!

Our room had a great view over the city, it was great fun just watching all the traffic which was busy 24 hours a day. The room had everything you needed, nice comfy beds, TV, safe, lovely bathroom.

We used the skytrain to get around the city, this was a walk down the road opposite the hotel, sometimes as it was so humid this could get a bit hot but it wasn't too bad, we felt very safe at night doing this. The road passes lots of little shops to stock up on drinks and nibbles for your room.

If you don't feel like walking anywhere you can get a taxi from the hotel, Bangkok taxis are great value and you can use one all day to take you from attraction to attraction, they are air conditioned too which is good.

Another good thing at this hotel is the pool area, after a long day sightseeing its nice to relax around the pool and watch the sunset over the city.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for tourists/business travellers, one downside is its a bit out of the city, but with all the transport links this doesn't really matter.

“Great hotel & Good value for money”

We stayed, at Century park june 2006 and it is a fantastic hotel and the price is awesome..

The rooms are large and cozy with a nice panorama view over Bangkok city.

The pool area is lovely and really good for a big city hotel and really romantic. The pool service was also really great.

Breakfast was really good and there was plenty to choose from and fresh fruit that tasted like heaven :>)

Only thing we can say about this hotel that could be better is the location.. It is a half hour to 3/4 hour drive in taxi from everything and the area is not that beutiful. But skytrain is within walking distance.. And at the corner of the hotel there is a small side road with a lovely little kiosk where you can get soda, chips etc. so cheap that you won't believe it hehe..

We would definately recommend the hotel for its excellent quality and service even though the location could be better.. Taxis with taxa meter cost nothing, so it really does'nt matter that much.

The hotel is awesome for the price you get a lot more than you pay for !

Good quality 4 star hotel, but reasonable prices. Great location 10 min walk to Victory Monument station. Lots of shops and market nearby, more local though. Room good standard, very clean and hotel staff friendly. Good choice for a stopover.

“Good Hotel”

Century Park Hotel

large modern hotel, 21 storeys so the higher rooms have good views over Bangkok. Nice pool and fitness area on the 5th floor.

Very Nice italian resturanton the 2nd floor, also a buffet style restaurant on the ground floor, we did not try this one but the food looked good and the menu large and varied so should cater for all tastes.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Location: we only stayed for one night but did not seem to be much in the way of bars and resturants near to the hotel so you may have get a cab or the skytrain to another area if you are looking for nightlife. Skytrain is 10 mins walk and cabs and tut tut's are readily availible so not really a problem.

“Great Value for the Rooms”

Century Park Hotel

I stayed at the Century Park for three nights with family to tour Bangkok. After arriving at the hotel, we were immediatly impressed by the valet service, quick check-in, and beautiful lobby area. The rooms were fairly nice, one nice feature were the bay windows, allowing for a view of the temple behind the hotel and a modest view of the city. We used the hotel's tour desk to arrange two separate tours and I was very pleased with that service - we booked our seats the night before and the transportation met us in the lobby the next morning. One word of caution, though, would be not to use any other of the hotel's services. Our first night out, after reading several warnings in the literature in the room as well as a warning from the bellman, we were advised not to use any taxi except those from the hotel (for fear of being "ripped off" by any other service). So the hotel's taxi took us to a restruant they recommended, which was very nice but not a good value and even more expensive than the hotel's restraunt. Our return trip with a free-lance taxi confirmed that they were indeed cheaper and just as reliable than the hotel's recommended taxi. Also, there are several great authentic restraunts, as well as an economical massage studio down the street from the hotel (the massage studio in the hotel is very nice but about twice the price from the one down the street). One last note, though, the pool at the Century Park was incredible - located on the roof of an upper floor, with lush landscaping, great bar, and a great view.

    • Disliked — Prices at restraunt, massage studio, taxis
