We requested and got 2 adjoining rooms as we were travelling with our children 17 & 10 yrs. Rooms were large and well appointed with comfortable but firm beds. The location is ideal for shoppers but not much else to do in the area entertainment wise if you do not want to shop. I was a bit disappointed with the dark reception/lobby area and the weird smell that pervaded the corridors due to the fact that this area was not airconditioned but thankfully the rooms were v comfortable and made up for it. we did end up having an enjoyable holiday and I would fully reccommend the ABC Bicycle tour which we booked separately and was the highlight of the trip. I would rate this more a 3+++* not a 4* hotel

Very nice hotel ! but its like many no substance or life about the place , Very clean well and kept hotel in the busiest area of Bangkok , the staff seem very unsure at times but all in all does the job but not pure luxury .

I love Amari Watergate, its the the best hotel to stay at in the Pratunam area. The hotel staff were very helpful and very friendly. They attend to all your needs and inquiries.

The rooms were very clean, spacious enough, and pleasing to the eye. The bathroom was clean and spacious.

Everything was perfect, especially the location. When you go out of the hotel, to your immediate left is the Pratunam wholesale market, and to your immediate right is another (I forgot the name) wholesale market that focuses more on clothing. Pratunam market has everything from soveiners to Fendi knock off bags and fruits.

And for the fashion conscious ladies, right across the street is the a big wholesale/retail mall (name: Platinum Mall) that sells the latest in Bangkok fashion. The best part is that while the set up is that of a typical flea market, its air conditioned. They also have some fast food on the upper most and lower most floors. They also have money changers in and out of the mall.

Another reason why Amari watergate's location is so perfect for mall-goers is because just a few minutes away is Central (i think thats the name?) Mall. Its like Rodeo drive or 5th avenue all packed into this big mall. They sell all the high end brands, and mind you these are not knock offs!

All in all, I have to say that I dont need to find another hotel when I plan my THIRD visit to Bangkok. Im pleased, content, and satisfied with Amari watergate.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was more than we hoped for. The room was large and spacious, the atrium in the lobby gorgeous and the rooftop pool was a special treat. The location was also a plus.
