This hotel is located beside the Bangkok Intercontinental and shares the same management. It is a smaller hotel but nevertheless has all the luxuries akin to the Intercontinental. The rooms are clean, cosy, stylish and luxurious. However, I found the rooms at the Intercontinental larger (but note also the price difference between the two). The Holiday Inn is stylish and more contemporary in design. The breakfast buffet has a wonderful spread catering for both Eastern and Western taste buds.
Like the Intercontinental, there is a pillow menu for you to choose pillows best suited for a good nights rest. Try the full body length pillow! We ordered only one, so my significant other and I had to fight for it (it's that good, you see!).
What I love best about this hotel, is the location where it is not only Central but is next to the skytrain and the best part is, from the skytrain station you can walk on the overhead walkway directly to all the super-malls located nearly without having to cross roads or walk on side walks. The malls are connected directly with the overhead walkways. So, no worries about walking in the rain and having to carry loads of shopping!
Across from the Holiday Inn is the famous 4-face Buddha Shrine.
