“Great value”

I stayed for 2 nights here where the rooms and service met up with other Marriott properties I have stayed in the past. Like the other reviews here, the only issue here was hearing the train whistle. As I grew up close to a train crossing, hearing it didn't bother me but I could see how someone not used to it could be really shaken by the experience.

Other than that, they offer a value-filled room with kitchenette, a well-equipped one at that. Similar to Residence Inn properties, there's a fridge, dishwasher, sink, and stove along with some basic cookware and utensils. This property even had a food disposal unit.

As much as there was a bed, living area, bathroom, kitchenette, and work desk, there really wasn't much place to sit down and eat for more than one person. I suppose a group of people could eat in the living area but I wouldn't find it all that comfortable.

The services available in the lobby were fantastic, there a computer with free internet AND free printing (although there's a 30-minute time limit to be fair to other guests). There's also complimentary coffee available all day and even a map of the general area where the attractions, shopping, and restaurants are listed.

“Except for the trains, very nice...”

I booked this hotel thinking it's NEAR the railroad tracks, but no, they're NEXT TO the tracks. Three types of trains go by all day long - Amtrak, freight and a commuter train. The only thing that seperates it from the hotel is the parking lot. And our room was on that side of the hotel. I didn't get much sleep at night or in the afternoon when I took a break from Disneyland. Not a good thing when you have to drive long distance. Whenever the trains went by and my daughter & I were talking, we'd stop & say "TRAIN!" just for laughs.

Otherwise, this is a great hotel. The staff was friendly & helpful, especially with shuttle info, which stops right at this hotel (but only runs once an hour in this area). The room & hotel were very clean. Though they don't serve breakfast at the hotel, if you show your room key at the Denny's down the street, they'll give you a 10% discount for breakfast.

So, I would stay here again if I took a plane & didn't have to drive back home (N. Cal.) or if I knew for sure that the trains weren't as loud on the other side of the hotel.

“Great Location to Angel Stadium or Honda Center”

A very convenient location to Angels Stadium and the Honda Center. Fast Food eateries and Restaurants are within walking distance. It is about 10 minute drive to Disneyland. We didn't have a car, but utilized the Anaheim Resort Transit. We purchased a 3-day pass for $8.00 per person. It makes hourly stops to the Disney Transit Center.

The front desk service for Check-In and Check-Out was friendly and helpful. The rooms were roomy and comfortable with a full kitchen. During our stay, we paid $113 per night for the AAA rate. As for the train tracks, yes it is adjacent to the property, but only runs during daylight hours. So, when your in room resting at night, the train noise is not a factor.

I would definitely recommend this property to anyone, for its excellent location, away from the mickey tourist trap area. Excellent service in line with other Marriott properties.

“A great value for families!”

My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Marriott TownePlace in Anaheim, a hotel we discovered in a review by a TripAdvisor traveler. We took our 16-year-old nephew and his 13-year-old sister with us and wanted to have separate sleeping arrangements. He slept on the queen sofabed in the living room, we had one bedroom and our niece had her own bedroom in the 2-bedroom unit in which we stayed. . .and each room had a television! The full-sized kitchen was perfect for saving money on meals. There was air conditioning so there was no need to open the windows, thus the passing traffic and trains did not disturb us. The front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was served by the Anaheim Resort Transit system and it was convenient to take a bus to and from Disneyland rather than dealing with traffic and parking. We paid an unbelievable $132.00 a night having booked the unit in January. It was a great value for the four of us and I heartily recommend The Towneplace Anaheim, especially to families wanting a little privacy at a reasonable rate.

“The Train noise drove me crazy”

TownePlace Suites Anaheim

3 of 5 stars
Roseville, Ca

Ok, if you stay at this property and you like to open a window, I hope you do not get a room facing State College Blvd! The soundproffing on these rooms is non-exisistant. Between the sound of the horns from the Metro Link link Iines, the Union Pacific Trains, and the traffic, it was very bad! I would insist on a room facing the interior of the property or the second building which is the building that does not have the front desk.

The room was clean, but they used sometype of deodorizer that was overwhelming. Wow, totally not good.

I always like having a refrigerator and small kitchenette, which the TownPlace Suites have. No King beds, which is amazing to me these days. No additional ammenties such as breakfast, but there are several places to eat close by. Try the mexican grill withinn walking next to the Togos, great food at rock bottom prices!

They have a very cool wall map in the lobby with magnets indicating where to shop and eat. It was very helpful. Staff was OK, no real standouts though.

They have what they call "limited housekeeping", I stayed two nights when I returned the second day, the housekeeping seems like any other place, the room was spotless.

Only one elevator per building and a small pool. It isn't super far from Disneyland, but it is removed and you will have to take a shuttle or drive there. I work for State governement and was there on business during Spring Break the hotel was busy.

Again, my biggest issues was the noise and the deodorizer. I am torn whether I would stay there again.
