“Great for location but.....”

Location, location, location! This hotel is GREAT for location. When we arrived got our room and it reaked of cigarette smoke, even my 2 year old daughter covered her nose and said 'YUCK!" Went back to the front desk and they changed our room, no concern from them about the smell, they were more concerned about the free lunch from Quizno's that was sitting on the desk, Got our new room and it wasn't as big as I expected, the pictures are really different then in person, since we are only sleeping and bathing there then that's not a problem. Great thing was that there is a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. Now that is awesome when you are traveling with a picky 2 year old that will only eat easy mac for breakfast! One thing that was irritating was when we took a shower the whole room fogged up and the windows were all steamy, the room was buring hot and it was really muggy in the room, I noticed this on the window of every room, aren't they afraid of MOLD??? I left the room with my makeup dripping off my face due to the sauna like feel from our room. The only reason I would stay here again would be cause the location and the fridge and microwave, If that doesn't mean much to you then I'd reccommend the Annabella Hotel. Now that was an awesome hotel but the walk to the park was soooo long! OH I almost forgot! The continental breakfast was a joke. A bunch of donuts some coffee and toast with a toaster. OMG, we got there right before the end of the breakfast and the staff was taking everything away, I had a half eaten donut, coffee without cream and sugar cause they took it away from me when i turned my back. It was a joke.

If you don't mind bad service, this location is excellent for Disneyland. Rooms are very clean and rates are reasonable. However, service is a problem.

They don't automatically replace your cups everyday. Once I asked for new cups, I did receive them. However, because the dirty ones were not removed, I could not tell which ones were clean. The other problem was the laundry service. I put items in the laundry bag and labelled it appropriately. However, when I returned to my room, the laundry was still in the bag and still dirty.

On top of this, I was not asked how my stay was when I checked out.

Its not a bad hotel, but, I won't be bringing my family there again.

“Overall really good!”

We stayed at the Carousel Inn & Suites for a week while we were in Anaheim. I have to say that our rooms (my parents were in one and my family in another) were both immaculate! I loved that the floors were laminate/hardwood. I saw the maid mopping them down regularly. It was nice to know they were clean! Sometimes you wonder what's lurking in the carpet in some motels. In fact, our maid was amazing! A little lady who did a wonderful job! We saw her on her hands and knees washing the floor under the furniture. I was impressed! The rooms had been recently renovated, so were really nice. I have to say they were a little on the small side, especially for my family as we required a crib for our little one. We had to move a few pieces of furniture around, but everything fit. I will say that the crib seemed really old, a metal one that really made a lot of noise. My daughter is 2, so I wasn't overly worried, but if I had a wee baby, I might be a little nervous. Our check in/check out were a breeze. The only negatives were:
-the pool is a rooftop pool. Sounds nice, but on a blazing hot day, it was way too hot! No shade to speak of. Also, it was really small, so once there were 4 or 5 twelve year olds in it, there wasn't much room for my little boy who's 4. It also didn't really have a shallow end, so again, my 4 year old had to be held by an adult. I think the most shallow point was 3 feet. Also, no hot tub. I never realized that I'd miss it, but I did.
-the continental breakfast is bare bones! Don't be surprised when there's only doughnuts left. I think I ate enough danish to last me a lifetime. The cereals were just plain Cheerios & Corn Flakes. My little kids didn't really love it. On top of it, it got really busy as it was only open for 2 hours every morning. We finally went down the road to Target and bought a box of cereal that my kids liked and then we were fine.
So overall the positive definitely outweighed the negative. The best part was the close walk to Disneyland. We really enjoyed being able to walk through the shuttle unloading areas and hearing the Disney music. It got us really into the "Disney spirit" before even entering the park! Can't wait to go back!

“Watch Out Poop On The Walls”

Carousel Inn and Suites

When we went into our room we found poop on the walls! Yes, I said Poop. We demanded our room to be switched, they told us no problem they will just check someone else in to the poop room. We went to our new room and the air conditioner was broken. They could not fix it and they were sold out plus we were there during a heat wave. Save your aggravation and stay any where else.

“Loved It!”

Carousel Inn and Suites

Here are the details:
Booked the View Suite -
3 Queen beds & 1 sofa pull out with 1 bath.
Room 400.
Stayed Sunday-Wednesday
4 Adults & 4 Kids
The hotel was clean and well maintained. The fact that it's across the street from Disneyland is a great value in itself. Our room was large! There was plenty of space for everyone to hang out and not feel cramped. The best part was the amazing view of the fireworks show from the comfort of your room. The room came with 1 large refrigerator and 1 smaller refrigerator. Yeah that's right it had 2 refrigerators. Trust me it came in handy more than you can imagine when you have a 1 year old that still needs milk on a regular basis. It also came with a microwave, hair dryer, and iron. As for the beds, well they were some of the most comfortable hotel beds out there. The hotel also offers a continental breakfast which helps save some money on eating out for breakfast. Another great feature was the roof top pool and gym. So now that I've listed all the great stuff here's some of the possible drawbacks. Room 400 is right below the dining area so if you like to sleep in, you might be discouraged from getting this room. For us, it was perfect because we like to get up early and get in as much of Disneyland as possible. The only other trouble we had was that our room was supposed to be ready by 3:00pm and wasn't ready until 3:30pm. The upside is that the hotel manager was great and compensated us. I won't go into details of the compensation but I will say that we left there very satisfied and will definitely return. For us, this was a great hotel with friendly staff and the price, well you can't beat it. I'd definitely recommend staying there.
