“Loved It!”

Carousel Inn and Suites

Here are the details:
Booked the View Suite -
3 Queen beds & 1 sofa pull out with 1 bath.
Room 400.
Stayed Sunday-Wednesday
4 Adults & 4 Kids
The hotel was clean and well maintained. The fact that it's across the street from Disneyland is a great value in itself. Our room was large! There was plenty of space for everyone to hang out and not feel cramped. The best part was the amazing view of the fireworks show from the comfort of your room. The room came with 1 large refrigerator and 1 smaller refrigerator. Yeah that's right it had 2 refrigerators. Trust me it came in handy more than you can imagine when you have a 1 year old that still needs milk on a regular basis. It also came with a microwave, hair dryer, and iron. As for the beds, well they were some of the most comfortable hotel beds out there. The hotel also offers a continental breakfast which helps save some money on eating out for breakfast. Another great feature was the roof top pool and gym. So now that I've listed all the great stuff here's some of the possible drawbacks. Room 400 is right below the dining area so if you like to sleep in, you might be discouraged from getting this room. For us, it was perfect because we like to get up early and get in as much of Disneyland as possible. The only other trouble we had was that our room was supposed to be ready by 3:00pm and wasn't ready until 3:30pm. The upside is that the hotel manager was great and compensated us. I won't go into details of the compensation but I will say that we left there very satisfied and will definitely return. For us, this was a great hotel with friendly staff and the price, well you can't beat it. I'd definitely recommend staying there.

“Good Location”

My family of 4 spent 5 nights here April 27- May 2nd in a 2 bedroom suite. I was really happy with the location and the fast walk to DL. I was a little disappointed with the room only because I think I paid too much for what we got. The room was pretty clean, but not exceptional. The beds were really comfortable!

The free breakfast was good for us, we don't eat a lot of breakfast anyway, so it was a nice feature. I think if you need a suite, I would recommend this hotel because of it's location. If I were booking a regular room I would probably try a different one. I had a hard time finding a suite close to DL that was under $200/night.

Unless I find a cheaper one, I'll be back for the suite again.

“Close to Disneyland”

Carousel Inn and Suites

3 of 5 stars
Yuba City, CA

The Carousel Inn is an oldie but a goodie and is within reasonable walking distance to Disneyland. It is easy to find and parking is abundant. Our room had been recently refurbished and was very clean. There is outside elevator access to the upper floors (this is a motel) and being December it was nice and quiet. Beds are okay for a couple of nights. Denny's is between the Carousel and Disney, as well as a few other small food stops.

“Good choice for Disneyland vacation”

Carousel Inn and Suites

California
May 14, 2008

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be a nice, basic, clean, quiet place. It's about 2 or 3 hotels down from the crosswalk to the Disneyland entrance. Loved that part! Also loved the rooftop pool. Much nicer than a pool in the parking lot. The beds were really comfortable, which is rare for a hotel in this price range. The front desk lady said they just opened some suites that sleep 6 (3 Kings) and have 2 bathrooms and prices start at $190. So, if you have a large family, that might work well. The free breakfast was a bit too basic for us and we only used it one day. Besides, it ends at 9:00 am - TOO EARLY for us that like to stay till Disneyland closes at midnight. Last time we went to DL, we stayed at the Desert Suites, which is a couple doors down. I liked the Carousel better because it seemed cleaner, had comfortable beds, and had a much better pool. Only complaint is that the bathtub faucet dripped.

“Nice Hotel-Excellent Location”

Carousel Inn and Suites

3 of 5 stars
Livermore,CA
Apr 27, 2008

I was looking for a hotel that was reasonably priced and close to Disneyland and Carousel Inn fit that perfectly. I couldn't have asked for an easier walk for my 2 & 4 year old. I have stayed at the Grand California and I think that the walk from there to Disneyland is about the same distance. It took about five minutes to the front gates. I would recommend if you are traveling with little ones to get one of their bigger rooms. We had the standard and it was pretty cramped, especially when your trying to find a spot for a port a crib. We moved a lot of furniture. The room was pretty basic, so don't expect too much. Housekeeping could have been a little better- we found several stray hairs around the bathroom. The staff was very friendly, and when we called for a clogged sink they were there within minutes. If you drive a big SUV, be prepared- the parking spots are pretty tight. Overall if you are looking for a decent hotel with an excellent location- This is it.
