“Nice Hotel”

La Quinta Inn and Suites Anaheim/Disneyland

Stayed here at La Quinta for a week. Although I was a bit leary after reading the reviews, the place wasn't that bad. The rooms were clean and staff were friendly.

I probably will not stay here again though, because of the following reasons.

First of all, it is a 20 min. walk to Disneys' front entrance, which isn't bad but remember you will be doing alot of walking in Disney and by the time we had to return, we were exhausted. There is a shuttle that runs every 20 min. but it seems everytime we were thinking of taking it, it had just left, so we would walk rather than wait( no where to sit while waiting I must add) there is a cost to the shuttle as well.

As there are comparable places across from the maingates, we found this a bit of a drawback.

The rooms are big, but we found it awkward having the sink outside the bathroom, in the mainroom. Also, the fridge and microwave was located in an entertainment area where the kids were sleeping on a hide a bed.

The free breakfast was okay but after a week we were fed up with the same old thing....also, the fruit gave all of us the runs!!!

The pool was nice but on a cool evening, it was quite breezy.

Stayed at the LQ Anaheim Disneyland for 1 night in May 2008. I booked directly through the website and got a really low rate of $79 for a Friday night. There are positives to the hotel--the staff are super friendly and helpful, it's an easy walk to Disneyland if you're not lugging your kids around (about 20 minutes), the place is clean and spotless, the hotel is easy to find from the freeway, the location is extremely safe, the pool area looked appealing, there are restaurants and shopping adjacent, and there was plenty of free parking. However, there were many things I did not like. They changed my reservation due to a mix-up, and placed me in a children's suite. Now I'm a single traveler so it was useless to give me a children's suite. Half of the room is separated by a partition, so I basically used the other half for myself, which felt cramped and small. The elevators were very slow. The hallways were extremely hot, humid, stuffy, and almost unbearable to walk down. My room was also very warm and I hate sleeping with the air conditioning on. It took me forever to figure out how to open the window, and even then it was only a crack. My room had a view of a parking lot, and the woman at check in said that basically none of the rooms have a nice view. The breakfast was a joke--it started at 7am and when I arrived at 7:05 it was a zoo and I couldn't get anywhere near the food. There were families and groups of teens shoved into the small breakfast area. Since they weren't offering anything special, I left and grabbed breakfast at Downtown Disney. These super huge hotels really need to invest in a huge space for accommodating the breakfast crowds. I peeked into the fitness room and it was just a dark closet with a few machines. You wouldn't want to spend any time in there. My last complaint is that they didn't offer a business center or any public access to the Internet like other hotels are doing. So although the price was right, the location was fine, and my room was clean, I would definitely look to another hotel next time. My original reservation was for 2 nights but I couldn't stand the thought of a second night there so I cancelled the second night. The stuffy room and halls really were unbearable. Please email me with questions!!

“Great hotel for trip to disneyland”

I was a little weary about the hotel based on some of the reviews. However, I was very happy with my stay at the La Quinta Inn. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed in a deluxe suite with my wife and two kids. We had plenty of room and it was nice that the room was separated by a sliding door. I was able to watch t.v. while the kids napped without being afraid of waking them.

The rooms were quiet and I didn't hear any noise from other rooms around us.

You do have to go outside to get to the lobby, but it is only about 3 feet from the elevator.

I was happy with the breakfast. They had biscuits and gravy, toast, cereal, fruit, donuts. One day they had pancakes and the other day they had eggs. Also included orange juice, apple juice, milk and coffee.

The ART shuttle picked up right behind the hotel and it was a quick ride to and from Disneyland.

I will definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

“Just Okay”

La Quinta Inn and Suites Anaheim/Disneyland

We tried to check in at about 7:30 in the morning since we flew for about six hours from Hawaii. They told us to come back because they didn't have a room available. So we took off to go to Disneyland even though we were all tired, but we didn't mind since we were going to DISNEYLAND. We finally got to check-in later on in the late afternoon. By that time we were all dead tired and needed a nap. We stayed in a Kids Suite for 6 nights. First impression was okay. The room was good enough for a family of four. Our room was spacious and clean but a little run down. The walls and floors is almost paper thin. We could hear our neighbors to the sides of us and above us. The room below us complained numerously about the kids running around.??Which did not make any sense since I have two big boys, who were eating their dinners when they so called was running around in the room. One of the front desk persons did not believe us when we told him that our kids are not making any noise. But the following night when the room below us complained again, another front desk person called us about the complaint and told us not to worry about it anymore. Which made us feel a little better since we weren't about to tippy toe around the room that we paid to be in. We didn't get anymore complaints after that. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good considering it was a continental breakfast. They served eggs, biscuits, doughnuts, pastries, waffles, fruit, cereal, juices and hot beverages. We didn't get to use the pool but it looked very refreshing.

The best thing about this hotel was that it is very clean. The bad thing is the paper thin walls and floors. All in all the hotel was okay. I would probably stay at another hotel next time.
