Stayed two rainy days, but the welcome was warm. The house is a fabulous arts and crafts design with appropriate furnishings. Classy style with no froufrou touches so often found elsewhere. The room spacious, the bed wonderful. Offer to put on the fireplace pilot light if I liked. Breakfast is the best I've ever had in a B and B - a 4 course wonder which changed daily. Access to the living room, den (with lending library and "take one, leave one" policy), a computer, and garden. And best of all, a bin full of umbrellas to borrow on the way out! A home away from home.

Don't even hesitate if you are considering a stay here. Ruth and Rex really go the extra distance to make you not only comfortable but very much at ease. They have done an awesome job of restoring and furnishing their lovely heritage home. It is clean, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The food is fresh and delicious. You will find that when it is time for you to leave you will very much want to stay.

A wonderful B&B with fantastic hosts. The first night we slept so well and our room was great - we loved the heated bathroom floor. In the morning we had a 5 course breakfast by candlelight with great conversation with Ruth & Rex. If you love older houses you will love the way they have restored this house. We had a good first night meal in the local restaurant and we loved being away from the city. It was such a relaxing and peaceful stay. We have stayed in many B&B's and this will go on the top of our list.

We did a round the world trip , which took us to Vancouver BC.

We loved it so much, that we extended by a further 3 days.

Rex and Ruth really made us feel at home , and assisted with all our travel plans, nothing was too much hassle.

The breakfasts are legendary , and conversations at the breakfast table make it difficult to pull yourself away to start the day.

The location is perfect , close to transport routes , to get anywhere you need to in Vancouver, if you don't want hire a car, or struggle to drive on the wrong side of the road.

There is a lot of beautiful nature around Thistledown , and the Capilano suspension bridge , Capilano river , Grouse Mountain etc just to a name a few.

If you are going to Vancouver , then this is definitely the place to stay.
