“Very enjoyable but probably wouldn't go back”

Casa Bianca

May 5, 2008

The house is really beautiful and the location is perfect. Very close to everything and very much where the locals go about their business as opposed to staying in Old Montreal. You can pretty much walk to anywhere. Great cafes and restaurants around.

Our room was one of the suites and while really beautiful and very comfortable, there were hot water issues so I couldn't shower on our check out day and my husband's shower was lukewarm which is kind of unpleasant for traveling. It's a bit noisy if you're right next to the ktichen but I can live with that.

We went out for breakfast just because we wanted a hot one.

If you stay here bring your own towels. The towels (all of them in our room including hand towels) have gone bad. REALLY bad. Bad to the point that they are not recoverable, no amount of bleach or hot soapy water is going to help them, they need to be tossed. When towels go off and get wet again, the smell is overwhelming in a very unfortunate way.

Again, great area, beautiful room, very clean but the lack of hot water would keep us from going back. I almost feel bad for writing this because if it weren't for those issues, it really is a great spot to stay. I would not recommend to our friends. :(

Casa Bianca is a unique house set in the trendy neighborhood the Platue in Montreal.
Right across the street there is a wonderful park , st. Dennis and Lauriel streets are within walking distance. There you'll find top natch restaurants , great shops and public transpotation.

I'll recommend to stay in one of the bottom floor rooms , the upstrais needs some improvment but the manager and staff are extremely accommodating. Don’t expect luxury but comfort and great location.

“Beautiful and Quiet”

Casa Bianca is beautiful and very affordable. The location is really peaceful and convenient for walking to restaurants and shopping. Michael and the rest of the staff were very helpful. I would totally recommend this B&B. We stayed in the Mont Royal room, which is spacious and sunny, and features a lovely clawfoot tub. The breakfast of store-bought pastries and some fruit was adequate, but not special. There are tennis courts directly across the street. Would've been nice to have been told that beforehand so we could've brought racquets. The smell from smoking rooms was only drawback, but otherwise a great place I'll recommend to friends.

“Well kept inside but needs a lot of work outside.”

Casa Bianca

Jul 24, 2007

The stay at the Hotel was enjoyable as the location for bars and restaurants was good. Michael's service was excellent.

Given the price for the stay the sheets and duvet cover ought to have been ironed. Following on the biggest complaint is the state of the garden and the exterior of the building. Vegetation encroaching onto the entrance pathway did not give a good first impression fortunately the inside of Casa Bianca was very clean. The outside of the building is also in a state of disrepair, namely the window frames and the wrought iron fencing at the entrance to the property.

Another suggestion is to have blackout curtains or blinds for the rooms and a varied breakfast menu.

“A Keeper in Montreal!”

Casa Bianca

Jul 9, 2007

Great Location right across froma park so there were great views. The Esplanade room is big and pleasant- we enjoyed our claw foot tub. Friendly and helpful staff. Fresh baked continental breakfasts with international guests providing an entertaining start to the day.
Relaxed atmosphere.
We will definitely return.
