This is a great value-for-money hotel in downtown toronto.
We had room 8413 (a king bed suite) which is huge! Super king size bed, large sofa with 2 x armchairs, dining table and chairs, flatscreen TV, fridge, microwave and desk. It was at least twice the size of any other room we had on this trip, for $160 per night - at a time when the average rate for a standard room everywhere else was $200+ due to conferences.
The hotel is new, so everything is still new and shiny, and kept spotlessly clean (especially the breakfast area). We had to pay a refundable deposit in case we smoked or ruined anything (it's all no smoking), which should help to keep it new a bit longer!
We also had a view of the CN Tower (an advantage for some but not others).
The location is good, a short walk to the bars and cafe's on Queen Street, and 10 mins walk to the entertainment district. We visited most of downtown and didn't use public transport once (although we were lucky as the weather was goegeous).
Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cheap hotel downtown.
