“Best Hotel Ever Stayed In”

Hotel Victoria

Jul 21, 2008

The Hotel Victoria is the best hotel I have come across. My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights in July. The hotel is located right in the heart of downtown Toronto and is next to everything. We parked the car (which is the only downfall) in a parking lot and only needed it to go to the Zoo. The staff at the front desk were the nicest people and the other staff held the doors and elevators for us on many occasions. The room was very clean and the view was stunning. The TV had many channels and the mini fridge was a great add on. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I will be going back here.

“Great value, satisfied completely”

Hotel Victoria

Jun 10, 2008

I got myself all worried about staying here after reading some negative reviews. However, our experience was perfect. The hotel is in a great location when you are walking around Toronto. I understand that there is no parking here, so if you brought your car you would have the added complication of finding and paying for public parking, which the hotel staff will help you with. We walked into the lobby and it was nothing fancy- but there was also nothing wrong with it. Same with the elevator and the hallway. We opened our door and walked into our room. It is a very small room! But it honestly looks nice and is well appointed. It has nice lighting, a nice big mirror, a nice tv, everything is nice. There is nothing to find that made me think that the room was dirty or outdated. It was maybe not the fancy hotel room that I have been used to, but it certainly was NOT shabby. It was great. There is no entraceway when you enter your room, you are directly in the small room as soon as you walk in and it has wall-to-wall light beige carpeting. Our carpet was clean- maybe not perfectly perfectly clean but there were no big stains or anything. I was thinking that because you walk into your room in your shoes that some of the rooms may have stains on the carpet near the door. Ours was fine though. It's no big deal really. I have read before that the street noise is noisy at this hotel. We stayed in room 206 and this was not the case! Quite the opposite! We couldn't hear a THING all night from the street AT ALL. There was even a thunderstorm and we couldn't hear it over our TV and the fan noise of our air conditioner. Walls may be a little thin- it was hard to tell because we had very quiet neighbours but it seemed like noisy neighbours would be very easy to hear through the wall based on the noises that I did hear. Bathroom is perfectly nice- like I said, not the same quality that you find at a luxury hotel but it is nicely appointed and it was clean. Our total after taxes was $146 for a queen size bed. We were happy to save so much money, get a great location, and end up with zero complaints.

“Excellent place to stay in Toronto”

Hotel Victoria

For my first time in Toronto I picked this hotel on Yonge Street, based on the reviews on this website. It was a great experience. The location is great. Close to Union Station, close to the subway, lots of shops and stores close-by. Right in the middle of town.

The room I got was spacious, a great bathroom (finally a shower with some nice pressure!), really fast, stable and free (!) wireless internet., large bed, some room to put my stuff, coffee machine etc.

Staff was friendly. My room was located on the side of Yonge Street. That was a bit noisy. I actually like that (sound of a big city!), but if that's a problem for you, you might want to ask for a quieter room.

Next time I'm in Toronto, I will look no further to find a hotel.

“Great hotel for a great price”

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. A wonderful place, for a great price the service was as good as that in other more expensive hotels.

Staff at front desk were friendly and always helpful, no matter what time of the day. Rooms are a little small, but nicely decorated and more than adequate for what you pay and need.

Free Wi-Fi is great, as is the resturant downstairs. Hotel is located closely to the Subway and Streetcars. Will defiently stay here again.

“Great Hotel”

Hotel Victoria

Boston, MA

My friend and I stayed here for a couple of days after a conference we attended and wanted a reasonably priced hotel since we would be footing the bill.
Hotel Victoria was an amazing value for the location and the quality of the room. Everyone who worked at the hotel was professional and extremely pleasant. Our room was comfortable and was nicer than the hotel room I stayed at for my conference - at $100 less a night.
