Arrived very late and very tired good efficient reception and comfortable room. A bit noisy which they warned us about. Everything you need is provided including a microwave. Next day enjoyed breakfast but girl on desk very vague about everything and we ended up setting off with no idea where we were going - serendipity. Found Granville Island -found little boats -result gorgeous day. Snacked all day so bypassed all the restaurants and there are plenty. Went into pub - left fairly hastily. Shops etc around so all very handy. Tried to leave some books behind to lighten luggage but helpful cleaner came all the way downstairs with them! One warning - when we were leaving and the previous day there were lots of unhappy people checking out and complaining that their bills were much higher than they had been quoted. I don't know if it is the taxes added later but one lady was very distressed so if I were booking it independently I'd get the real story or at least written confirmation of rate.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and easy to reach. No, you're not downtown, but the bus system in Vancouver is quite extensive and with a bus stop right in front of the hotel we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go quickly with a minimum of hassle. No problems, no regrets about staying here.

We paid extra money to get a king or queen bed, when we went to our room it was two doubles. When we went back to the lobby they said there was nothing they could do for us.

The phone service was not able to take any messages. I got several bug bites.

There were sirens all night long in front of the hotel and at one point in the middle of the night we got awoken up by someone screaming.

I was very pleased with my recent stay at Park Plaza Hotel in Vancouver, B.C. I was on the fifth floor and had a fantastic view of False Creek, Granville Island, downtown Vancouver and the mountains beyond. I enjoyed watching the boats and seeing the city lights come up in the evening. I had everything I needed in my room (including a microwave and frig), and everything functioned perfectly, including the heat when it turned chilly. All of the hotel staff were friendly,
professional and helpful. I even received a call a half-hour after check-in, to see if I needed anything. That was a first for me. There
was a drugstore (which also sold food) across the street, and bus stops were right near the hotel. It was a quick two block walk to the sea wall foot and bike path as well as a park. I was close enough
to walk to Granville Island where I could pick up a water taxi. All in all, a wonderful stay for a good price.
