“I did not enjoy my stay here.”

I only stayed here one night, as I was meeting a group, and I just wanted a cheap hotel for one night. I would have been better off staying downtown. This hotel was overrun with partying Nationalists. The food was not great, I could not get a reservation to the ala carte restaurant. I only ate at the buffets, and they were pretty dismal. I thought my room was really shabby, and damp. I am usually very easy going when I travel, but I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The bathroom was dark and kind of crumbling. The hotel does have a nice beach, and a good location, but I did not like the facilities.

We have stayed at this Hotel many times, however, this was our first visit since it was purchased by new owners. They have invested a lot of time, effort and probably a lot of money into to making this truly a first class hotel. The Hola Puerto Vallarta has the most dedicated staff of any we have found in Mexico. They will do anything that is within their controll to make your stay a wonderful experience. The rooms are freshly painted and well decorated, the beach is newly expanded and they have planted palm trees on it to provide both shade and ambience. The food is good, plentiful and there is always a wide variety. The Gourmet resturant is a 5 star by anybody's standards. It is a family hotel and they treat you like family. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a good relaxing vacation experience.

This was our first trip to Mexico and we had a great time. The hotel was clean and we experienced great service The food was great with a wide selection of different dishes. The ala' carte restaurant was like eating at a high class restaurant. The rooms are clean, spacious and surpassed our expections on view. Had a great time at dancing and karoke. The staff worked hard at looking after the needs and desires of the vacationers. I would recommend this hotel to any one. Any one who complains about this resort are the type of people that can not be happy with anything.

“Great Time Was Had by All”

Hola Puerto Vallarta Club & Spa

My husband and I stayed at the Hola for a week in April. It was a great time. I was not sure what to expect after reading these reviews but let me tell you, we did not have a complaint on anything. The staff was wonderful and always remembered what we wanted to drink. I am not a "drinker" so they always made a fresh pot of tea for me when they saw me coming. We were told not to book a whale excersion as it was the end of the season and we might not see any. But almost every day we could see them from the beach. It was awesome.
I travel several times a year but this was my first time to the "other side" of Mexico. I was not too fond of the Pacific ocean as it was cold and rough but the pool was warm and the sand and sun were always waiting for us!
We did a couple of excersions. The city tour was good but didn't get to spend much time at all the places. We did a jeep tour up in the mountains and it was great. Nothing like riding in the back of an open jeep looking at nature. I would reccomend it.
We will visit the Hola again. Maybe even later this year!

“Holo not the place to stay”

Buyer beware. Our stay here at the Hola resort was 4 nights and 5 days to long. The food was terrible and tastless the room was dirty and old, on the first day we arrived and entered the room we had no water so I contacted the front desk and reported the problem after waiting a while I rechecked and the water was a dirty brown color but it did go away after a few minutes also the shower head and hot water handle fell off. The hotel staff was not to freindly and every time we asked a question either they half answered the question or gave the wrong answere back. Information on there website is misleading, they have 4 restaurants but only one at a time is open and they say they have 14 entertainment shows nightly to choose from but they only have one and last maybe 30 mins in the main lobby perfromed by the hotel employees. They have a dinner theater only open on Friday nights and one gourment restaurent only open on Thursday nights. Do not waste your money on this place.
