I don't see what anyone could find wrong with the Turtle Nest Inn. From our first stroll down the breezeway out to the pool, until our last night there (we stayed a full week), we loved it all.

Many mornings and afternoons we had the pool to ourselves, and it's just lovely to sit in the shade or sun, depending on what you need, and listen to the ocean. We really loved the snorkeling and the staff was very helpful whenever we needed anything in the Inn, or if we were looking for a good restaurant or place to go.

I highly recommend the Thursday night dinner at the Inn, as that was definitely one of our favorite experiences in the Caymans. The service, food and dinner companions made it a real treat. If you want a nice, relaxing vacation in the Cayman's, I definitely recommend the Turtle Nest Inn!

We absolutely loved the Turtle Nest Inn!! We saw the Turtle Nest on Trip Advisor and decided to make that our choice for our honeymoon. We stayed May 19- May 25, 2008. We loved everything about the place. We stayed in an upper floor ocean front apartment. When we arrived the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They helped us get settled into our beautiful and spotless apartment. This apartment had two sliding glass doors with amazing views of the ocean. Nothing like waking up to the view we had. I still close my eyes and try to picture it.

The Inn provided us with all of the snorkel equipment we needed at no extra cost and scheduled events for us on the island. Those included an awsome snorkel trip with Capt. Dexter. His Catamaran is beautiful and we had a great time. They also scheduled horseback riding on the beach for us. The Inn was very helpful in suggesting good places to eat. They have a neat notebook that has all kinds of helpful hints in it - make sure to check that out! All of the restaurants they reccommended to us were great! They included: Seaside Paradise (good shrimp!), Paradise Grill, Calypso Grill (mango shrip to die for), Portofino, Grand Olde House (most amazing deck), and Breezes by the Bay (good brunch).

We signed up for the Thursday evening terrace dinner at the Inn. We reccommend signing up for the dinner. The food is wonderful plenty of it and it was great to meet some of the other guests.

The Turtle Nest Inn is perfect for quiet and relaxation which is just what we wanted. We ate breakfast every morning on our porch overlooking the ocean. The snorkling is very nice at the Inn. We actually traveled to snorkel elsewhere and found that the reef at the Inn was just as nice.

Overall, the Turtle Nest Inn was all we hoped for and more. We had an amazing honeymoon we will never forget. Although it did make coming back to reality that much harder. I would recommend the Turtle Nest Inn to anyone looking to go to Grand Cayman. Marliene and Alain are so wonderful and nice. We thank them for a great honeymoon and hope to see them again. We picked a wonderful place to return to for our anniversary!

“The Best Place to Stay in Grand Cayman!!”

My girlfriend and I just got back from vacation in the Caymans and stayed 7 nights at the Turtles Nest and then The Comfort Suites for the last two. I wish that we could've spent the entire 9 days at The Turtles Nest. But you got 2 get a room while and when you can because, very understandably, its a win to get a room. It was worth every penny. I was more than satisfied and the people that own the Inn and their employees are truly welcoming. But to complement the hospitality, the grounds themselves were more beautiful than expected. I am glad that they only charge what they do for what beauty and warmth you receive. And not to mention it's literally on the reef!!! And the best snorkeling that I personally found during my stay!! Go there if you can. It's now a must for me and hopefully on a regular basis. Two very big thumbs up and 5 deserved stars.

Turtle Nest Inn

We loved this place. It was quiet and friendly and very low key. Our room was tiny (we recommend springing for one of the larger rooms if you can afford it) but it was clean and had a microwave, fridge and basic necessities (kitchen towels, cutlery, coffee pot etc.). We didn't use the small, but attractive pool during our stay. We'd rather swim in the ocean when its right there... plus we snorkel and there was a reef right there. We did use the grill regularly. Grand Cayman is really pricy. Even lunch at a roadside jerk stand routinely cost $20-25 for the two of us and real restaurants were MUCH worse. The staff were super helpful and the owners were always around and they were wonderfully friendly too.

The Inn isn't near anything much (Bodden Town is pretty small). However its not far from anything either. It was a quick drive to Savannah and Georgetown or to Rum Point and the East End. For people like us who wanted a quiet, relaxing and stress free vacation, the vibe at the TNI was perfect. I don't think families with small children and especially those with teens would be as happy as we were (no nearby restaurants, clubs etc. and though the beach was lovely and sandy there was a patch of sharp, pebble sized coral rubble right as you get into the water, followed by a fairly thick band of turtle grass that would probably be a turn-off if all you wanted to do was swim.

Out beyond that though was one of the best reefs we saw in Grand Cayman. Although still showing much distress from the hit it took from Hurricane Ivan in 2004, the reef is coming back. A lot of soft corals and seafans were present and a variety of hard corals were still there. In addition we saw a wide variety of fish, along with conch, lobster, squid and much more. For us, the luxury of being able to walk to the water and snorkel a decent reef right from the Inn's beach was a huge plus.

We have seen some complaints about road noise. We had the small "maids room" which backs onto the road on the ground floor and we certainly did occasionally hear horns or truck brakes but the noise was soft enough that it was mostly drowned out by the AC unit and never so bad as to interfere with sleep.

Overall we strongly recommend this Inn. Grand Cayman is definately on our list of places to which we wish to return and, if and when we do, we will definately stay at the Turtle Nest Inn.

We just returned from a stay at Turtle Nest Inn from May 2-9. After reading the many positive reviews at tripadvisor, our expectations were high. But we were not disappointed - this was the best and most relaxing vacation we ever had! One of the high points of our stay at the inn was the excellent snorkeling right off the beach. We saw tons of different fish, turtle, lobster and even a stingray. Both of us found the snorkeling here the best on the island without needing a boat, and we must have done at least a half-dozen sites. Only Coral Gardens was a bit better, but took a half-hour boat ride to get there, and was an included stop on the way to Stingray City with Capt Dexter (highly recommended).
We felt perfectly safe in Bodden Town and every where else on the island. We found out that the Caymans enjoy one of the lowest crime rates in the world and would certainly be the envy of almost every American city. Crimes against tourists are virtually unheard of, and we witnessed nothing during our stay except polite and peaceful locals, doing their best to make us feel comfortable. The inn and surrounding area, like all of Grand Cayman, offer all the ingredients for an easy, restful and carefree getaway.
