This trip was my first time out of the country. So I really don't have much to compare it to. But I had the best time of my life. The staff was so friendly and accomadating especially Sondra from Guest Services. The entertainment crew was amazing, especially Verona, Crazy Chris, and Dwayne.(just to name a few) I also enjoyed the trapeze and the circus crew. We had a favorite bartender named Nicholas. The food was good. Above all my favorite part of my trip to Breezes was the entertainment. I just left Jamiaca last week and I'm already planning my honeymoon there next year!!!

I have just got back from a 7 day stay at Breezes Runaway Bay. We were originally booked to go to Montego Bay last August but a hurricane hit and we postponed our trip. We were originally going to stay at the Decameron but opted to spend some more and try a superclubs. Lets start from the beginning:

Air Jamaica - We left JFK on Sunday on time. They are fine leaving but they sucked overall. Coming back home to NY was horrible they were delayed 5 hrs and we didnt get home till 4AM instead of 10PM. They barely compensated us.....$7 p.p. for the dealy to cover food, which was ridiculous and couldnt pay for chips and a drink there......they are the worst airline ever...and if you plan on going...DO NOT FLY AIR JAMAICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Several other flights were delayed and even canceled.

Transfers - This was great to have a bus take us to the hotel and this was prompt. On the way back was a different story. The bus was over an hr late and then made a stop for bathroom when we were 5 min from the airport. This delayed us 15 more min.

Airport - Coming in was fine but on departure it was crazy it took us over 2 hrs to check in and there was barely any assistance with this process. This was definitely a turn off. Also if you are buying gifts BUY THE RUM IN THE AIRPORT!!!!!!!!!!!! Its cheaper than anywhere else and you wont have to check it....you can bring it on the plane with you....Also most other gifts are cheaper in the airport....BUY GIFTS IN THE AIRPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its Cheaper!!!!!!!! TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!

Hotel Check-In - This was also stupid!!!!!!!! They needed a printout of my itinerary so they can be billed. They had the info and then they tried to tell me that I had to print it and bring it or I couldnt check in they said I could pay $8 for 15 min on the computer and email them. I was already a bit peeved and they eventually gave me it for free.

Room - Do not stay in 1200's that have no view. Most of the regular rooms do not have a view but try and get one with a view of something. Overall the room was ok and the cleaning staff cleaned everyday and made towel art with fresh flowers.

Food – The buffet was at best average. Really was expecting more. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were boring. There were different stations like pancakes or waffles. They had an egg station for breakfast and pasta station for lunch and dinner. Barely any seafood to speak of either. The Munasan was not that good. I am from NY and I knew to not expect much. Didnt get a chance to eat at the Starlight Grill and for pastafari the men NEED TO WEAR LONG PANTS. My fiance didnt bring any so we didnt go there.

Entertainment - Was ok. The nightly shows were ok nothing spectacular. The day entertainment was comical and we even took part, which we never do. I also got to call my boss from the pool and tell him how much fun I was having.

Excursions - We did both the Dunns River tour and shopping as well as Y.S. Falls and Appleton Tour. The Dunns river tour was ok. The waterfall wasnt spectacular. I have been to better in D.R. and the shopping was good, but if I had known that the airport was cheaper I wouldnt have shopped.

I really liked Y.S. falls. I personally liked it better than dunns you get to jump off things and they take great pics of you in the falls for a tip. Worth it!!! Appleton was great. Tasting rum is always great. But again, if I had known that the airport was cheaper than the factory I would have bought it there.

Overall - The hotel for $300 per night isnt worth it. You can go to so many other places for cheaper.

I personanlly wouldnt go back to Jamaica. Nothing more to see there for us.

My stay at The Breezes at Runaway is beyond words. The service was outstanding and the location was perfect. The resort felt like home away from home.

From the time we arrived, we were made to feel comfortable. In particular, Sandra Holness, Joley-Ann and Kenisha took care of out check-in needs and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Even when we wanted to switch rooms because we didn't like the location, Joley-Ann and Kenisha took action to find us a suitable location.

Raymond Pine, Arlnene and Ojaci were very helpful during dinner and at the bar. They were memorable people and I look forward to seeing them when I return.

There were many activities during the day, tours to take and restaurants to choose from. During your stay you will not have a need for anything. Because it's all inclusive, everything is taken care of. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation.

“Loved it! cant wait to go back!!”

we arrived at BRB on may 25th for a 10 day stay. Trust me after 10 days we did want to go home. The staff was excellent Sandra in guest services is great, if you need anything pleas dont hesitate to go and see her. She is there for everyone and is very eager to please everyones needs..

The entertainment staff you cant say enough about these people, they work day and night!! We had a few afternoons of rain and they truly made the best of it! make sure you do the mixology on mondays it looks like alot of fun, we missed it. But thanks to Chris, Dwayne, Jason and Aldeen and Verona they made the rainy days fun!

The food was great! we went to the starlight grill about 6 out of the 10 night stay, Aldane the chef is great! and Andre the waiter was really nice. This was the best a la carte restaurant. i like the stirfry and you got to pick exactly what you wanted it in. The munasun was really good, but be prepared to be there awhile. The italian restaurant Pastafari was not good and the service was not good... This is the only negative comment about this resort!! The reggae cafe was really good for lunch, they had a special to choose from or you could have the regular everyday stuff , burgers and fries or hotdogs or jamaican patties. The special is always worth a try!

The beach is gorgeous, the infinity pool was a really nice touch.

The bartenders are hilarious and always knew exactly what you wanted and always had a full glass for you before you had the first one gone!! thanks to nicholas and jack and courtney( oreo).

All in all we had a great trip and i would recommend this resort to anyone!

“Loved it”

Had a great time. The staff was very friendly, especially Sondra Holness in guest relations who remembered our names through the entire week!

The food was very good. It might be because the resort seemed to be not very full, but we had no trouble getting reservations at the specialty restaurants and enjoyed every dinner that we had. My only complaint in the food department would be that they could vary the lunch choices a little more from one day to the next.

The all-inclusive diving was great! We did not expect much from Jamaica, but it was surprisingly good. Water was clear and coral was in good shape. Beach and water activities were plentiful and fantastic!

Only suggestions I have would be to add an activities board down by the beach rather than just at the front-desk. Also, I would turn the speakers away from the rooms (ie: towards the ocean) after 10:00 so the noise does not bother guests trying to get to sleep earlier.

Overall, I highly recommend this resort to active people who enjoy beach and water activities.
