My boyfriend and I went to the Cayena Beach Club, which I booked thru my timesharing. The standard rooms accomodate 5 and were average w/ 2 queen size beds, and a queen sleeper sofa. The sofa area has a curtain which could be pulled for privacy from the bedrooms. About 80% of the rooms have an ocean view...mine had a beautiful view of the beach/ocean. The bathroom had a whirlpool tub/shower, plenty of storage for toiletries, etc, the toilet had a separate area w/ door. The room was cleaned daily.
We traveled w/ another couple w/ their 3 kids. Our room was comfortable ...for 2 people. If you are traveling w/ 5 people its very tight... the sofa bed wasn't comfortable.... and you have limited privacy.
The Cayena is part of a larger all inclusive resort. While you have access to all the amenities throughout the entire resort - the Cayena had its own area which was for "cayena members only".
The hotel sits right off the beach and has direct access to the beach, private restaurant/pool area.
In the private area -The pool was smaller than the main pool and it has full sun... there is a kids pool, hot tub, & pool bar. The restaurant was exclusive to Cayena members only. They serve buffet breakfast and lunch a la carte w/ salad bar buffet. The restaurant sits close to the beach so you enjoy the view while dining. The a la carte food was excellent...better than the buffet food in the other resort restaurants. ...and gave you a break from the usual buffets.
The Cayena has full access to the main resort and the food was average...but there are so many choices so you won't starve. The entertainment was average...I've seen better...but it gave you something to do. The beach is beautiful, very clean...wide stretch of beach...beautiful sand.
I would definitely reccomend this resort to anyone who was considering it.
