I'll be going to Tokyo with a friend in 2 weeks time, and because of some last minute problems, we are stranded with no accomomdation. I've tried booking rooms in Tokyo Inn's Ikebukuro's hotels but they are fully booked. We are first time female travellers to Japan, hence it would be better and safer if we stayed in convenient areas, and our budget is less than 10000yen per room per night. Anyone with recommendations for budget hotels in the Ikebukuro area or some other area near a subway station?

Thanks.

Hi,

hv u tried Ikebukuro House already? We stayed there in March and it was great in terms of budget (abt 8,000 yen per night for room for 2), comfort, cleanliness and service. It is run by Taiwanese (no language barrier) and we really felt like home there. Good luck!
