Bangkok is hot (as always).

The rains have eased off in the last few days, but even at their worst they really didn't cause any problems for more than the time it would take you to have a meal......

Rains are usually late afternoon if they happen, but none today. However the rain is very localised, so unpredictable and short-lived.

You can swim anytime. But As you watch the storm heading your way you will usually notice the wind gets up. I wouldn't recommend going into the sea at that point as it might get a bit choppy.

But never mind - the rain is warm, the sea is warm, and after an hour it's usually (but not always) passed.

Cancelling to Phi Phi? well if you've bought the tickets I doubt they'll give a refund unless THEY cancel due to the weather. In theory they shouldn't go in certain conditions. But not sure who decides what are the right conditions.....

Don't consider cancelling unless you must. Phi Phi is a different experience to Phuket.

Not very Thai - more International. But a nice island and nice beaches.

Besides chop, another problem with swimming in a storm is lightning. Thailand has some outrageous electrical storms!

Hello!

I just got back from Bangkok today and spent 5 days there (Sunday to Wednesday).

It drizzled from Monday to Wednesday, nothing that would be too disruptive to your plans, but you may want to leave the hotel with an umbrella. It drizzled lightly throughout the day, stopping for about an hour then starting again.

It was pretty warm on Saturday and Sunday with no showers.

"how is like in phuket my friends??? am coming this saterday ... "

You'll have to report back when you get there.

A couple weeks ago, Bangkok was enjoying the first full days of sun in quite a while. Our friends, visiting Phuket at the same time, never saw sun.

Just arrived back from Phuket today - weather until two days ago was great. Seen a few cloudy and showery days. Hopefullt this passes so you'll have a great week. Bangkok will stay overcast but will not cause any problems. Enjoy! Best holiday of my life. p.s. If you're getting suits made don't get sucked in - do your research - and certainly don't go to James Fashion!
