This is our first trip to Cancun. So Tell me some of the best things you did while in Cancun.

We are pretty open to most things. So any idea would be good.

Thanks and Happy travels

You definitely MUST visit Isla Mujeres for the day. It's very close and easy to get to from Cancun (only a few minutes on the ferry). Once you get there, you'll feel like you are in a different world. It's like being in a Corona commercial. (You can easily do this trip on your own...no need for an organized tour unless you simply prefer to go with a group.)

Read the great reviews for Joe's Jeep Adventure; you drive a 4WD jeep on a guided tour of the jungles, cenotes, etc. Great fun! I've also heard that Edventure Tours is great. You pick the places you would like to tour & the day is tailored to YOU. Have a great trip!

We were just there a month ago and booked the Jungle tour through Aqua World. It included riding jetskis through the bay and mangrove to a snorkeling site, where we snorkeled for about an hour or so. Lots of fun and would highly recommend it! (Put lots of sunscreen on your knees or you will feel it later!) It was our first time in Cancun as well, and we went to Isla Mujeres and Cozumel. Personally I absolutely LOVED Cozumel so much better than Isla, to me it is a MUST. If you travel anywhere, I recommend taking the R-1 bus to the ADO bus station. From there they will take you to pretty much any destination at much cheaper price than tour companies. They are comfortable, safe, air-conditioned coach buses. If you have any questions don't hesitate to message me. Happy Travels!

A fun evening is to do the Capatain Hook dinner cruise. You get steak or lobster dinner (or combined), almost non-stop entertainment, all drinks included, and you get to be a pirate.

Darn fingers. That's spelled Captain Hook and not Capatain Hook.

Another vote for Joe's Jeep Adventure - I discovered it here on TA and figured anything that TA rates #1 has to be a good time! If you click on my name, you can find my review. It was absolutely a blast!

We also loved our day at Chichen Itza. We did the private tour through Entertainment Plus which was great because we could be on OUR schedule. I'm kind of a control freak, so that is a big deal for me. LOL.

We made our list of "must do's" in Cancun, and while those won our top 2 slots (and deservedly so) our list went on and on. So much so, we bought a villa at The Royal Caribbean and are headed back again next year! Next year's adventures.... probably XCaret and Isla Mujeres.

COCO BONGO!

Without a doubt the best place I have ever been to in my life!

Sensational.

I've never seen anything like it before.

We just got back from our first Cancun trip yesterday. I'll add yet another vote for Joe's Jeep Adventure - all of us (including our seven-year-old) had a great time. Our other top picks were a private catamaran charter to tour around Isla Mujeres and snorkel a bit, and the "Cancun Jungle Tour" in which you drive your own boat through the mangrove channels and out to a reef for some decent snorkeling. We did Xcaret as well but were a bit disappointed - too crowded and expensive.

We arranged all our trips through the Entertainment Plus folks and were very happy with them.

Enjoy your trip!

Cancun must dos in my opinion include visiting the Mayan ruins of either Chichen Itza and or Tulum. I love Isla Mujeres for a self guided day trip and you should certainly eat out at any of number of Cancun's restaurants. There is also a popular tour offered during the summer months known as a swim with whale sharks. I highly recommend this tour, but make sure you book in advance because these trips sell out early.
