We ate at Goofy's Kitchen the last night of our trip to Disneyland. It was worth the wait. I've been to many character buffets at both Disneyland and Disney World and I'm never disappointed. Disney hopes they can defer your attention and that you will ignore the hefty price tag and okay buffet food for the chance at having a character stop by your table to entertain your kids for a few minutes (assuming you can get any of the characters to stop by). I was not impressed at all from Goofy's kitchen. First off, there was not a server in sight! When I needed something there would be no server. The wait to enter Goofy's kitchen was about 1 hour! Goofy's kitchen is by far the best place in the Disneyland area to celebrate a birthday. I have been there for my cousin's 10th birthday and for my mom's 50th. We have been to Goofy's Kitchen several times and the kids love it. If you don't want to wait in long lines to see the characters I would highly recommend doing a character breakfast.
