I booked my son to stay 2 nights in July 2008 at the Queen and Crescent, booked through Travelocity and prepaid. We were surprised to find on arrival that there is a mandatory extra $6.95 "resort fee" charged that was not revealed until check-in. Otherwise very nice place and good location; only a few blocks to the French Quarter and... more

I'm AMAZED by all the negative reviews for this hotel. I have stayed here twice. The Queen & Crescent was one of the many hotels I stayed at while traveling across the country for a month. I have seen many hotels with horrific conditions. I stayed at the Queen and Crescent for 3 days at a super discount rate that... more

Although this charming old hotel is available at a fantastic rate, our credit card has been charged THREE TIMES since our return ... for an amount totalling more than 400% the price of our stay!!! We have paid for this "bargain" hotel in credit card disputes, cancelled cards, headaches and tears. Save yourself a lot of time, heartache and money... more

I loved the ambiance of the Queen and Crescent. Unfortunally, we were there over Spring Break for our 6rh Anniversary and were given a room with only 1 double size bed. That troubled me and they said they couldn't change us to another room because they were completely booked that weekend. We could have checked out of our room the... more

My family and I will never stay in this hotel again! The rooms are so tiny that you have to climb over each other to maneauver around (maybe good for a single or newly married couple). The bathroom had no shelving for toiletries, everything had to be stored on the floor. The vending machine (only source of beverages) was never... more

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days at the beginning of April. Here's a brief synopsis of the pros and cons. The Pros: -Fantastic location(within 2 blocks of the French Quarter) and convenient to the Central Business District. -Safe neighborhood (I was alone the first two nights and felt absolutely safe walking from there to the Quarter and... more

The price and location of this hotel can't be beat! If the hotel fixed a few little things we would definitely rate them as excellent. They stick to the check-in time very strictly. Our room was not ready when we got to town (granted, we arrived before check in time) so they took our luggage and said give them about... more

This was my 3rd trip to New Orleans. The other trips were pre-Katrina though. It seems that this city may forever be defined by what it was before and after. And I must say that the city is very cognizant of this. We booked a one week trip for NOLA for my girlfriend's spring break (she's a teacher0. I booked... more

This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Harrahs Casino and the French Quarter. I would definitely stay there again and would never prefer to have been closer to the center of the French Quarter due to the noise. One caveat however, is to avoid the 8th floor of the second building because its got the HVAC right above... more

We booked through the hotel for March 10th and 11th, 2008 at the 311 concet rate. The parking rate was SUPPOSED to be $20 and the resort fee $5.95. Upon check-in we were told the rates had been increased to $26 for valet and $6.95 for the resort. When we told the lady it was supposed to be $20 and... more
