We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Johns Hopkins University. In that regard, the location is excellent -- across the street from the campus. However, the stay was not excellent. Spent one night at the hotel. Had an issue with a fire alarm at about 10:30pm and was out of room until 11:15pm. Alarm also went of at 8:30 am in the morning for a reset. First impressions is definitely a lasting impression. The lobby is breath taking. During check in there were several other people checking in, there were two front desk clerks at the time of my check in, then from out of the back office two other people came out to help the two clerks. I was misled by a nicely appointed entrance and front desk area, but once I stepped off the elevator onto my floor, it all went downhill- total, disgusting disaster! Recent stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The hotel is rundown, and should not be accepting guests. Renovation is going on, and the property should be closed during this time.
