Cheapest place by far to book this hotel is through the BA Website. This hotel is in a great location and only one block from the Empire State Building and two minutes from Maceys. We have just spent three nights there and found the Art Deco styling a pleasant change from the normal US hotel rooms. The continental breakfast is... more

My husband and I stayed at the Metro for 3 nights, 12th to 15th July and were pleased with the position of the hotel, the outdoor roof terrace and the breakfast. However we also checked in late, after midnight, and were given a third floor room at the back that had definately seen better days! (see a previous review) AND... more

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in June and thought this hotel was fantastic. The room was small compared to what we were used from the rest of out trip but had everything we needed. The free breakfast supplied in the morning was fantastic and just what you needed before a long day walking around NY. The free... more

I booked this hotel through Travelocity, and never before have I been confronted with people who are so unwilling to please. We checked in late and they gave us a room on the third floor in the back of the building. The room was small, but clean. However we were awoken the next morning at 6:30am by the sounds of... more

My sister and I stayed at The Metro for a 5 day stay in NYC and loved it. It is in an ideal location (5 minute walk to the Empire State Building and 3 minute walk to Macys!), with fantastic views of the Empire State Building and of NYC in general. The hotel has a gorgeous rooftop bar which boasts... more

We spent 4 nights at the hotel Metro, this was our pre-honeymoon trip. Our room was on the 5th floor, very clean and spacious (2 beds). The bathroom was also very clean and nice. No noise from the neighbours, beds were very good. The staff was very helpful and friendly, we booked some baseball game tickets and they kept them... more

We spent 4 nights at this great hotel - the staff were very helpful and the breakfasts very nice - cereals, bagels, fruit and muffins. The free tea and coffee all day was also a nice touch and very welcome after a long shopping trip ! We had a 2 bed suite which was huge and the beds so comfy , OK... more

We stayed at the Hotel Metro for 4 nights in June. The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the city, near the subway and it's proximity to the Empire State Building is what won it for me. We spent a couple of hours at the end of each day gazing up at the ESB from the rooftop bar... more

I booked the Hotel Metro for my daughter, her good friend and myselft to stay in while we visited New York for the first time. The experience was all great except for the first night. I had booked a non-smoking family suite but the suite they offered us was smoking... and did it ever smell smokey! We had to refuse... more
