My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sugar Hill Harlem Inn in late June for 2 nights as an alternative to the high hotel prices in Manhattan. Our room was Marian’s Room in the annex building. It is on the second floor and very quiet. The room itself has the basic furnishings: king-sized bed, desk, 2 nightstands, sofa, and chairs.... more

Sugar Hill Harlem Inn is a fantastic place to stay. Our room (Miles room) was excellent and the breakfast was delicious. And please, don't worry about "Harlem": it's absolutely safe! We really, really enjoyed it! more

The inn is a really nice b&b in a still often overseen neighbourhood of NYC. Harlem, and especially the part where the inn is located, is safe and worth walking around. By subway (5 minute walk) midtown is a 20 minute ride. The inn is beautifully decorated and the service is above average. The innkeeper Jeremy is really friendly and... more

We came to NYC for our honeymoon. Sugar Hill Harlem Inn was an excellent choice of accommodations. Our room was the Miles Room. As everyone else has said, the beds are comfortable, the linens are nice, the rooms are tastefully decorated, and everything is clean. My husband was pleased to have satellite tv, too. Not to mention that the price... more

What a delightful Inn. We stayed in a suite the first night before we could get in our room for the next four nights. The suite was unbelieveably roomy, the top floor of the entire Brownstone. We were so pleased with the linens and the decor. We were also pleased with our single room-the Sachmos room. The bath room was... more

We just came back from a great stay at the Sugar Hill Harlem Inn. We spent 6 days there, in Josephine's room. The room was nice and roomy, spotlessly clean with a nice, solid bed. Free cable and wifi internet, which was very useful. The kitchen that we thought would be in the room was closed off by a new... more

Our stay at Sugar Hill Harlem Inn in New York City was excellent. Miles’ room is very nice with the jazzy decorations and the classical wooden furniture. It includes a small kitchen with the basic amenities which is very convenient. The bathroom was in a good shape. It’s very clean and has bright light. Additionally, it was equipped with several... more

This B&B in Harlem has rooms in two houses - on 141st and on 147th street). I stayed for one week in Dizzy's room which is on 147th street and I can highly recommend the place. The room and the very nice bath room with shower, bath tub and two wash basins was extremely clean and esthetic. It has probably... more

We enjoyed our stay in this charming B&B in Harlem. We stayed in Josephine's room, and our room was very tastefully decorated. We also appreciated the artwork depicting jazz legends and others who were influential in the Harlem Renaissance. Our bed was delightfully comfortable, and we were grateful for the modern conveniences such as the wireless internet connection, TV and... more
