Unfortunately we stayed at the Ivy after staying at one of the most trendy hotels in New York so our opinion was somewhat tainted. The location is great if you are wanting to be near all the touristy attractions i.e. 5th ave, central park, madison ave etc are all within easy walking distance but the area lacks the soul of... more

Ivy Terrace was a second choice after the Inn on 23rd, which was booked. We stayed in the Victoria Suite on the third floor. The stairs are steep and daunting and don't give a great impression of the place. At the top level, several of the vertical slats were missing from the stair railing and there was a messy curtained... more

Victoria Suite is on the 3rd floor of our building (as it clearly states on our website) and although that is alot of stairs for some folks, it is quite normal for a century old building in New York. We New Yorkers are quite at home climbing stairs! We did agree with the reviewer on the need to re-furbish the...

WE could not have been happier with the Zen room at the Ivy Terrace. The location was great, not to far from anything but nice and quiet. Subway station just 2 blocks, wonderful breakfast stocked in the room for a quick morning breakfast before heading out for the day. All was as expected. more

My partner and I along with our 10 month old son stayed in the Rose Room at the Ivy Terrace for 4 nights in October/November 2007. This was our second stay in Manhattan and we felt like true New Yorkers living in an aparment on the Upper East Side. We loved the breakfast pack and the convenience of having our... more

We just returned from a week stay at the Ivy Terrace (May 10-18). The Ivy Terrace was an oasis in the big bustle of New York City. We stayed in the Zen Room, which is a approx. 400 square foot, studio apartment. The location was excellent for walking to many attractions like Central Park, 5th Avenue and very close to... more

This was our first trip to NYC and initially we believed to be our one and only trip. After a week's worth of sightseeing we both want to come back! A large part of this was due to our stay at the Ivy Terrace! I truly believed we lucked out by finding this gem of a bed & breakfast through... more

This was our first visit to New York and the prices, not to mention the reviews, of many of the hotels left us feeling distinctly disillusioned when we were booking the trip. We opted for the Ivy Terrace after reading the recommendations on TripAdvisor and we can honestly say it deserves every one of its outstanding reviews. The rooms (Zen... more

Ivy Terrace really is a lovely place to stay in New York, so much better than sitting in a small boring hotel room. We stayed in the Ivy Suite which had its own little private terrace, after a hard day pounding the streets it was lovely to come back to our room and sit on the terrace with our tea... more

My wife and I were in town for a quick dinner and show this week and stayed here. It was a fantastic visit. Jeff promptly met us at the door, showed us to the Greenwhich room and bid us a good evening. The decor is very tasteful. The place is immaculate. The self-serve breakfast foods in the room were all... more
