When all other hotels and B&B's had failed me, the Buckminster came to my rescue and not only had availability but also came in cheaper than anyone else - although still not what I'd call cheap but then you'll find Boston is very pricey. As I was in Boston just to look around all I really wanted was somewhere just... more

We were looking for an accessable place to stay while close to Fenway... This place can't be beat! Price moderate $109 a night is good for the location. Room is clean and bath is decent. Not much to look at but great for tired people who don't freak out about everything. We had no trouble getting from the Logan airport... more

We stayed at the Buckminster for a bachelorette party and had a corner suite on the 6th floor. The hotel and room were very clean and the staff was extremely nice. The suite was great with a living area and two bedrooms. The hotel location was perfect in Kenmore square. I'd definitely stay here again. more

This was a last minute trip and we had difficulty finding availability in the Back Bay area of Boston. The Buckminster is one maybe two blocks from the Back Bay so everything worked out fine. Our room was spotless and extremely comfortable and the service was fantastic, very friendly and professional staff from check in to check out. During our... more

The hotel is about a 5 min walk from Fenway Park. There are a ton of great restaurants around the hotel. The front desk staff was great and vary professional. I only had two problems with my stay here. The parking is in a building next to the hotel and is not run by the hotel; it is run by... more

A friend of mine was visiting from Florida and he wanted to catch a Sox game while in town. Getting tickets was easier than finding a hotel room in the city. Eventually, after much searching, I called the Buckminster and found a room with two beds for $179, which was about a hundred bucks cheaper than anything else I could... more

My Wife and I and another couple stayed at the Buckminster for two nights on our first trip to Boston. We were a bit apprehensive about staying there due to some mediocre reviews online but were pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the hotel. We paid $149 for a room with a king size bed and it included a modest continental... more

This hotel is full of character and charm, but is not for the person who is a hotel snob. The rates are reasonable and there are no frills and no pampering....just a good, clean place to sleep before going out for whatever you came to Boston to do. THE STAFF IS EXCEPTIONAL and will go the extra mile to make... more

I let my wife book this trip and I was really worried when I saw the reviews on TripAdvisor, but it was too late to cancel. Anyway, the hotel was fine. No roaches, parking was available, the staff were pleasant enough and the room was clean enough. Don't get me wrong, it's no luxury room. I was happy to sleep... more
