My friends and I met up at Alibi for a special occasion. Once we found a table the waitress came over once to give us a menu and disappeared. Then 15-20 minutes later another waitress took our drink order. After we waited yet again the waitress brought me the wrong drink. She asked, "are you sure?" I assured her vodka... more

Instead of the (fake) champagne they give you at check in, they should give you earplugs! I read reviews of this hotel, and took the advice to book our rooms in the tower, but there is absolutely no sound proofing in this hotel, there's about 1/2 an inch of space around the - very heavy - doors. People come home... more

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite (1101) because we had our 12 year-old with us. The view was phenomenal- Charles River as well as Museum of Science, Community Boating and skyscape. Really breathtaking. We were across the street from Charles/MGH station (red line). Did get a bit noisy at night, but drapes absorbed a lot of it. Very comfortable... more

You would think when you are staying in a luxury hotel in Boston, they would perfect the Boston Clam Chowder on their menu. Unfortunately not the case at Liberty Hotel. Their chowder was watery and the potatoes in the chowder were still uncooked. Very disappointed, especially after paying the 18% room service charge on the bill. I suggest going to... more

This is the letter I sent to the general manager: We visited Boston last week, as we do often, because our daughter lives there. We dined at your hotel twice, it being one of our favorites. We will never dine there again. It was not because of the food. It was excellent. And the service at the bar was superb.... more

Whoever thought of converting an old jail into a hotel is a genius. What glorious fun! They kept the old jail cells and named the bar Clink to fit in with the theme, but everything else is throughly modern. The service was impeccable and the room was lovely. We always try and stay somewhere different when we travel because we... more

This place is amazing. It was a jail that was converted to a luxury hotel and expanded by adding an adjoining tower. The staff was exceptional. The room was top notch and the location was perfect. It's located on the edge of Beacon Hill and directly across from a metro station. Depending on what we were doing, we either hopped... more

I stayed at the Liberty Hotel in April based on the reviews I read. The Hotel is certainly interesting and is very busy at night in the lounges. Staff were terrific and friendly. The room was ok not great. Bed very comfortable and large shower. I had hoped for a view (not alot of choices) and more quiet in the... more

After sleeping in more than 300 different hotels i found the Liberty hotel one of the worst ones. I had a reservation for a 5 days. I checked out after day 2. When i arrived i ask for an extra bed for my brother. They provided me a kind of a small sofa only about 1,5m long. Since my brother... more

My husband had a convention in Boston last weekend and since I went to school in Boston, I went along. After searching on TripAdvisor, I decided to book The Liberty Hotel. The jail renovation was beautiful and the lobby is quite large and a fun spot to hang out. I also thought a glass of champagne at check-in was a... more
