Business travelerswe loved this hotel - though the bar is very popular and loud in the evening although they're the 'after work crew' and disapear by 9.30pm. Very helpful staff and great location. more
The hotel staff were very personable. We dropped off our luggage while the room was being prepared. We had arrived two or three hours before check in. When we came back at 3:00PM, there were no delays. The room overlooked the Bay Bridge and is directly across the street from the Ferry building at Embarcadero. The walk towards South of... more
We stayed at Hotel Vitale for two nights, weekend in July '08. We were in town for a family event. The hotel is beautiful, with modern chic decor, very enjoyable. The check-in process was quick, though unfriendly. The reception lady said the hotel is fully booked and did not offer a selection of floor or bed type. I was given... more
We drove from Santa Barbara to the Hotel, very easy to get location. Turned the car over to Valet and enjoyed the city. The staff were very helpful from the curb to the room. We had room # 614 great view of the water & the bridge. Comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Big bathroom w/ walk-in shower, lots of... more
I stayed at the Hotel Vitale for the second time for a business trip. The front desk was very helpful. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are aesthetically very pleasing. I also got a massage in the hotel's spa. Initially we were disappointed because the hotel doesn't offer services like manicures and pedicures, but the massage I got... more
This hotel is amazing. We felt like royalty. The staff attends to your every need - whatever paper you want, whatever temperature you like... We had a great view of the bay bridge and could walk to Chinatown, the Embarcadero, Union Square and cable cars. It is a longer walk or a quick bus ride to Fishermans Wharf but that... more
The Vitale was a total, total disappointment. The location is very good and the facilities are fine. But service was just bad, very bad. They try hard, and are personally nice, but really can’t get it right. For the price they charge, the level of service delivered is unacceptable. I have stayed here for 11 nights (tonight is the last... more
This was our second stay at the Hotel Vitale and will certainly not be the last. The hotel enjoys an excellent location across from the ferry building. Public transportation is easily accessible whether by streetcar (which travels along market as well as to fisherman's wharf), buses, cable cars, BART and the muni. We use BART from the airport and are... more
My wife and I periodically stay in SF and have really enjoyed the Vitale. The location is excellent -- right on the water next to the Bay bridge. What's more on Saturday's you are then right across the street from the fantastic farmer's market -- you can cruise through and get a great and quick breakfast from one of the... more
A lovely hotel. Very trendy and friendly! Great location, it is worth going to the 7th floor and onto the terrace for the view of the Oakland Bridge. Be warned, on a weekend the bar is very popular with the locals and gets very busy! more
