I am sosooooo very glad we decided on the Mana Kai Maui. I would not recommend the hotel room, but the 1 or 2 bedroom condos have the best view and you get an amazing breeze. We loved listening to the waves crash all night. We were never too warm or too cold ... it was perfect! The beach is... more

We arrived at the Mana Kai April 26th and stayed for 5 nights. We are a family of four (kids aged 18 and 23). We had a unit on the top floor, was recently renovated and very nice (kitchen and floors could have been a bit cleaner but not horrible, we did comment this to the rental company we dealt... more

Our first trip to Maui...and at the end of the week we did stay at the Grand Walea...my girls (14, 10, 6) would all say they liked the Mana kai better! Rent the ENTIRE unit and you get two bedrooms and two baths. The lanai doors stayed open the entire time. It was wonderful to go to sleep with the... more

We stayed in a 2 bdrm, 2 bath unit #212. It was clean, although a little outdated (30+ years old). There had been some renos done to make it comfortable. The views from the lanai were outstanding. We watched the humpback whales everyday from our lanai. The 5 palms restaurant on site had great food, although a little pricey. There... more

I am surprised when I read reviews of people comparing this condo complex to their stay at the Fairmont in Wailea. You can't compare a condo to the Fairmont - it's not the same. The Maui Mana Kai was a terrific property for the price and is one of the nicer condos in the Kihei/Wailea area. They did a really... more

We booked a hotel room at the Mana Kai Maui thru Expedia. Expedia gave me alot of conflicting info about the deposit, type of room and every time I called, I got a different story. I was worried that when I got there, I might not have a room. We arrived at the Mana Kai Maui rather late and checked... more

My family (Dad, Mom, Boy aged 8, Boy aged 6) rented condo #314 at Mana Kai Resort from its owner for 10 days in late January and early February. We're from Toronto, so the trip with young kids to Maui was long. At first we were full of excited anticipation. As the trip progressed, we became more and more concerned... more

Visited again in January 2008 and the newly upgraded property and rooms are a great improement. This hotel is located on one of the best beaches on Maui and you have a spectacular view fom each apartment. The hotel rooms have also been renovated but the view is limited. I suggest going with the full apartment for a little extra... more

We booked the Mana Kai for 2 weeks in early January 2008. We were a little leary, since we had been in the Restaurant several years previously, and thought the place looked a little run down. We were assured that the entire complex had been renovated. When re arrived, the remodeling was still going on. Old furniture was piled up... more
