We just got back from a terrific long weekend in Quebec. We spent one night in Quebec City, (since we arrived in the late afternoon), which didn't give us much time to se the city. Next morning we were off for the 30 minute drive to The Ice Hotel. Then we checked in at the Duchesnay Hotel located about 200... more

Wow. We were blown away by this place! We had no idea what to expect, and when we walked into a hotel made completely of ice and snow, our jaws dropped. The attention to detail from the walls, to the chairs, to the sculptures is amazing. The N'Ice bar serves drinks in glasses made of ice. You sit on chairs... more

We booked our stay at 'Hotel de Glace' via a travel website at the rather pricey $150 per person which included a welcome cocktail and breakfast the next morning (this was advertised as half price and was for a standard room**More on room choice later) but my wife was more than happy to part with our 300 hard earned for... more

[Summary for those who dont want to read the whole thing: Get a suite that is decorated on the inside and a package that includes a room at their regular hotel the night of your stay, you cant check in until 9pm but you have other activities to keep you busy during the day, and YES, it is cold, but... more

You must check out this place. We stayed here for one night and are glad we did. However, it is a one time experience. When you stay there, you get the hotel from 8 pm on to just overnight guests. It is fabulous. Sleeping isn't overly comfortable, however my husband has no trouble and feel right asleep. more

I believe the itinerary we planned for our stay made for a worry-free and pleasurable evening at the Ice Hotel. Schedule your dog-sledding/snowmobiling during the day of your stay at the Ice Hotel and afterwards check in to your room at L’Auberge (The Inn). Don’t look at how much you’ll save if you don’t book a room at the lodge... more

Ourselves and 2 friends stayed at the Ice hotel for 3 nights, 4th-6th January 2008. We had spent New Years eve in Montreal then traveling onto Quebec City. They were both such fantastic city's! The end of our holiday was to 'chill' out at the Ice hotel, which we sure did! We stayed at the Duchesney Lodge for the 3... more

We stayed at the Ice Hotel from Feb. 18th-19th. Overall, we had a fantastic time while actually in the Ice Hotel. The layout is great, the bar is fun, the drinks unique, etc. I highly recommend staying here once, and the dogsledding is an ABSOLUTE MUST. It was truly unforgettable. However, while visually spectacular and surreal, the Ice Hotel does... more

This is a must do experience - we absolutely loved it! The staff were wonderful and enthusiastic - they took great care of us! Don't worry - there are lots of opportunities to get and keep warm! The sleeping bags they provide are super warm - just pay attention to how they suggest you dress (no cotton!), the hot tub... more
