The place is wonderful, no questioning that fact. The service is excellent (extremely thoughtful waiters and cleaning staff). However, everything is insultingly expensive. Paying 21,50euros for a plain plate of fetuccine bolognaise, 4 euros for a diet coke and 3euros for a coffee is clearly saying to the client "you're a golden goose and I'm going to get as much... more

Christmas is an extremely expensive time to be staying at Touessrok and standards are slipping, no more offers to unpack suitcases, butler not readily available, less staff in dining room etc. In addition the general manager is all but invisible. We sent 3 couples there late last year and all left feeling it was not up to our recommendation. Probably... more

Very very expensive for food and drink. Four rum punches on the private island 56 euros basic pommery champagnve 25 euros a glass, 2 large prawns 42 euros. Service is very good but our deluxe room was i thought quite basic and dark. Good linen and comfy bed but again a charge for the Nespresso coffee in the room 1.60e... more

Really nice hotel with everything you need but something about it just left us feeling that it wasn't that special. We had a junior suite which had a connecting door to the adjacent room, unfortunately it wasn't sound proof. This is fine if the poeple in the room next door don't want to play music and party until 3 or... more

My husband and I stayed at Le Touessrok at the end of June this year and had a fabulous time. The taxi drops you off next to an amazing Banyan Tree lit with lanterns and a gong sounds as you walk in through the beautiful entrance with a wooden walkway and gorgeous water features. I had the biggest smile on... more

We have stayed at Le Touessrok many times but have found the level of service slipping since the take over by the sun group. Many staff have left and the new staff were not trained to the same standards as previously with The One and Only Group. That said Mauritians are the most delightful people So it is not felt as... more

The moment my parents, my older brother and I drove up to the hotel i knew i was somewhere special. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels but i must say that Le Touessrok surpasses them all. As soon as we stepped out the car the welcome we got was great. While sipping complimentary cocktails, my family and I... more

After two weeks at Le Touessrok we were leaving with rather mixed feelings. The hotel is superbly located, rooms are spacious and clean (our suit had a direct access to the beach) and the hotel staff was always very keen to help and accommodate any possible request. On the other hand sometimes their constant attention was a bit irritating. I... more

This was our first time in Mauritius, and we got an amazing deal. Twelve nights for the price of six, second room half price, free half board (we went for the last two weeks in April). We arrived to be greeted by a group of local musicians and then were offered a drink while the manager checked us in. He... more

We stayed at le Touressrok May2008 for two weeks - From the moment a gong was sounded to announce our arrival - we knew it was going to be something special The service is unbelivable, all the staff are very friendly and polite. The turndown service is brilliant, your slippers are placed out by your bed, lights turned down and... more
