As an ex-travel agent I have been to some 'great' places and some 'Not so great' and am fully aware that one persons' preference or opinion may not be anothers or anywhere near for that matter, but having read the reviews of the Indian Resort prior to going, I felt I had to review the hotel, having stayed there for... more

Spent my honeymoon at the Indian Resort in December 2007. The food is very tasty and the buffet offers a very wide variety of food, desserts, fruits variety. The room was great. The staff is friendly. We enjoyed the spas and great swimming pools. The landscape and beaches are beautiful. more

Just got back from the Indian resort as Mr and Mrs. Had a night flight quite good, food not as good as we had hoped and not all the tv screens working.People moving all around the plaine. Arrived at the hotel around 2-45, very good check in with a nice refreshing drink. We were then taken to our room, which... more

We were resort hopping in Mauritius and stayed in 3-4 resorts and the Indian was our first stop. The welcome drink was invigorating, no doubt. The ambience was typically island-ish and the uniforms of the hotel staff were really nice. the food was good too. After a walk around the resort, we found there were hardly any activities and we... more

Having read certain previous reviews I was a little worried about the accommodation. I should not have been worried at all. The hotel is lovely, set on a long palm fringed sandy beach with excellent accommodation and staff were so friendly. The food in the main restaurant cannot be faulted, there is always a wide variety to choose from. The... more

Arrived with trepidation but welcoming staff greeted us with refreshing drinks and glorious smiles from the start and it just got better from then on. Staff friendliness was the... more

'Oh No' I thought as I read other reviews and hints and tips on Indian Resort and Spa and this was only 2 weeks after finallising all the booking arrangments, so I stopped-reading the reviews that was. I was increasingly, by the day, becoming worried at the prospect of spending near on £3500 for our holiday to Mauritius and would... more

First of all, in regards to all the negative reviews that have been posted on here, " You get what you pay for!" I have stayed in hotels from 2 - 5** and the Indian hotel is between a 3.5-4** hotel for Mauritius standards. When i got there i was a bit shocked about the room when comparing it to... more

Words cannot express how bad this resort is. Where do i start? The list is so long, that i will keep it brief. We booked a standard marine room - couldn't really see the sea through the palms. The room smelt, was in extremely poor repair and was pretty filthy - i took photos (I have included a few.. which... more
